Alyga is a somewhat skittish young woman prone to nervous fits. She has severely limited vision due both to poor nutrition while she was still in the womb and an accident when she was four; vision is limited to shadows in her left eye and the vision in her right eye is classed as severely nearsighted. Having finished her Apprenticeship at Harper Hall, she has been assigned to Rainbow Mists Weyr where her brother is Weyrleader.
Current Plots
Alyga is currently singing at the Turnover Festival at Rainbow Mists Weyr and is consequently scared out of her mind. Go have a listen!
Relationships
T'kar Vitarias | 21 | RMW | Wingleader and Rider of RR Flame Ancalanath
T'kar is Alyga's older half brother and the only family she has left on Pern. She is extremely attached to both T'kar and his dragon Ancalanath and often experiences separation anxiety if she does not see them frequently. This has gotten better over the years but isn't likely to ever be resolved.
Master Yanis is one of Alyga's more understanding Masters and perhaps the one that knows best how to coax her out of her fearful shell. He also knows how she learns and consequently is able to help her excel in her learning.
Male | 28 | Single Journeyman Weyrsmith at Ice Stone Weyr Surly | Lecherous | Duplicitous | Stubborn | Stern Black (F) Twitterpest Profile
Summary
Barrek is currently on his way to becoming a Master Weyrsmith and is one of the better weapons makers for the Weyr though he will also lower himself to make and repair other objects as well. He's not particularly good with children or Apprentices and so tries to avoid them when possible and is a bit stern and gruff with them. Barrek loves women...a lot. He's worked his way through a great many of the Lowercavern women and so far has resisted and avoided all attempts by any particular woman to settle him. His tastes seemed to run to the curvy, not so bright women. He is also the SECRET informant and spy for Tiberax Noixay at Ice Stone Weyr--though Tiberax's son is now a Weyrling and recognizes him--and is currently in charge of fueling and prodding the unrest regarding the reemergence of the Dark Mist Weyr colors along with the fact that Silverlights as Queens tend to choose male riders. He has a few bastard children floating around though none are older than nine or ten turns of age and none are acknowledged as his spawn.
How Barrek has never actually met Hedara the Weyrwoman of Ice Temperanth is a mystery; sure he's seen her around, but never actually spoken to her. What's an even bigger mystery is that she seems to know her way around a forge. For once it's not all boobies and hips!
Barrek is not on good terms with his father mostly because when he was a child, B'nor was very much as Barrek is now. Though his mother tried to force Barrek on the Brownrider, the father continually denied the son until finally B'nor transferred to RMW where he is now retired. He rides Brown dragon Farrunth.
Barrek has known Dalonia and her brothers since he was fifteen. At first he was convinced that the girl was sweet on him which was amusing but now the two seem to plot violent and painful death scenarios for one another. Barrek started it, of course, as a joke, trying to scare the younger girl and it only seemed to escalate from there as Dalonia did her best to retaliate.
Derron Jindarex | 28 | ICH | Outlaw
Barrek has known Derron since they were both fifteen; well after his Apprenticeship began at the Weyr. He recruited Derron and his two younger siblings to Tiberax Noixay's cause. The two are still fairly close and enjoy tormenting Derron's sister Dalonia together.
Barrek walked in on Eira while she was changing in the Infirmary and of course made no attempt to let her know he was there...being a creepy pervert. She probably isn't too fond of him, but he's oddly intrigued by her despite the fact that she doesn't exactly fit his usual type. She is Linked to Arctic Tern Female LifeWing Wivish.
Elarren Jindarex | 25 | ICH | Outlaw
Barrek met Elarren along with his older brother and younger sister when he was fifteen. While not as close with Elarren as he is with Derron, Barrek still considers the two Jindarex brothers closer to family than his own flesh and blood.[
Though he's seen her around before, he hadn't really met the Jr. Weyrwoman until she wandered into the forge one afternoon asking if she might work on a small project. Barrek isn't quite sure what to think of a woman with smith skills, especially one who looks like a teenaged boy, all tall and gangly. She rides Ice Queen Temperanth.
Despite the fact that Barrek isn't too fond of his mother's new family, he does have a soft spot for his half-sister Korvalia if only because she seems to share the same beliefs that he does. Though now that she's become a Weyrling, he's not quite sure where the woman stands. At the very least she makes a meatroll almost better than their mother.
Korven Castor | 48 | ISW | Healer
Despite the man's attempts to win over a young Barrek, the two never bonded and to this day their relationship is a bit strained.
Rekalia Castor | 46 | ISW | Baker
Barrek and his mother have a strained relationship partially because he was the reason she was unable to stand for what she deems her last clutch. She also subconsciously blames him for B'nor refusing her. Though she is now happy with her life, it is unlikely that the two will reconcile as Barrek is far too much like his father.
Barrek is inexplicably fond of Rekkora. For all that she can be obnoxious and petty and just downright vain, he feels a bit protective of her though not enough that her moving to RMW for an upcoming clutch keeps him awake at night.
Renloh Habardi | 67 | ISW | Master Weyrsmith
Renloh is Barrek's mentor and the one who taught him just about everything he knows in regards to the Smith craft. As a result he does have a substantial amount of respect for the man and the two do get along fairly well for all that an onlooker might think that they constantly bickered.
At the age of twelve, Tiberax became something of a mentor and father figure to young Barrek and while some might say that the affected bastard son of a Lord Holder brainwashed the lad, others still would point out that Barrek already possessed the proper qualities to make this connection possible. Now Barrek operates as one of Tiberax's informants within the Weyr and the two communicate often via Twitterpest. Barrek is very loyal to the man who is both father figure and older brother.
Dalonia Jindarex Female | 24 | Challenged Crimson Senior Wherhandler at Rainbow Mists Weyr Paranoid | Temperamental | Clever | Abrasive | Defensive Brown Thief | Moonlight (M) Pest Profile
Summary
Dalonia is an interesting individual with a seeming deep seated disdain that borders on hatred towards dragonkind and anything associated with them; this includes firelizards and whers which is rather ironic. An astute individual would take note that it is rare that she ever has her back exposed and always seems on guard. She doesn't do well with reprimands and tends to get very defensive. The skills that she learned while following her older brothers around the streets of Ice Caverns Hold lend themselves towards surveillance mostly though she is skilled enough in combat for a guard, though her techniques might raise a few brows.
Current Plots
It was never her intention to become bonded to any other dragon-like creatures but when she went to assuage the rumbling of her stomach, Dalonia found herself smack dab in the middle of a firelizard hatching. Two of those firelizards had no regard for her wishes or her hunger and promptly latched on to her lunch and her life. Dalonia is not a happy camper.
It is never wise to take stupid dares; even less wise when a dare involves trying to pick the pockets of the newest Wherhandler and night guard. K'tar learned this the hard way, though now it's Dalonia who's in trouble. How deep can she dig her grave do you think?
The relationship between Dalonia and Barrek is a strange one. She met him when she was eleven and promptly developed a crush on the young Smith Apprentice. Of course after a few years it faded as he became a slightly more annoying older brother figure. Most days she wants to kill him, especially because he's her direct superior in the chain of command in their little band of outlaws.
Derron Jindarex | 28 | ICH | Outlaw
Dalonia's eldest brother, he's the one that took care of the three Jindarex children after the death of their mother, turning to the streets and pickpocketing to keep them alive. He is also one of Tiberax Noixay's higher ups. There are times that Dalonia is convinced that he'd sacrifice her for the cause without blinking.
Elarren Jindarex | 25 | ICH | Outlaw
Dalonia is on slightly better terms with Elarren because they are closer in age, but because he tries so hard to emulate Derron, the two often butt heads. Of all her siblings, however, Dalonia trusts him the most though that's not saying much as trust doesn't come easy to any Jindarex.
Though she's not particularly close to the man, she is one of his operatives. It was by his command--passed through Derron and Barrek--that she became a Wherhandler. She's not sure how she feels about him to be honest, however, the man does know how to exploit her dislike of dragonriders to his benefit.
After all but catching her in the act of threatening to feed a Weyrling to her Wher, T'kar very nearly fits the embodiment of everything Dalonia hates about dragonriders. He's handsome, arrogant, empowered and just all around annoying.
Davquil is a peculiarity among Northern bred women. Rather than being austere and practical she is spontaneous and rather imaginative. She's extremely outgoing and friendly almost to the point of being overwhelming for the more reserved characters of the far North. She is infinitely tolerant of personality quirks, disabilities and just life in general. She adores children and animals and tends to single out the ones that need the most love and attention; this of course translates to adults as well as dragons and could be a motivating factor behind the Impression to Purple-Grey Niekolgoth though he will not comment. Having more or less recovered from the ordeal she experienced with T'vax, the two have since become Weyrmates and their weyr is host to two peculiar dragons, two energetic sled canines not yet fully grown and an ever growing fair of excitable firelizards.
Dragon Summary
Niekolgoth is a strange dragon in that while he possesses great amounts of energy and enthusiasm, he doesn't always know what to do with it. When at his best he likes to mingle with his siblings and other dragons though his way of getting to know others tends to create unintended tension. Such misunderstandings tends to lead to a sullen lethargy that Davquil is learning to navigate. Likewise when Niekolgoth gets overwhelmed he tends to shut down, unsure of whether to be excited or wary. Emotions--already difficult for dragons navigate, especially those of their rider--are doubly difficult for the Purple-Grey to decipher.
Current Plots
Davquil has finally made a wonderful friend at the Weyr. She met Tivax during a scheduled chore; a chore which was turned into a game and led to the creation of Norman and Gigantith. Of course then the Weyrlingmaster came and ruined everything. Watch them run!
~~~+~~~
The time has finally arrived! The eggs are hatching and of course Valenrek chooses that exact moment to be the surly little brat he is so often called in the creche. Running late, however doesn't seem to lessen Dav's chances. Niekolgoth took a while but finally decided that Dav was the one for him. Adorable right?
~~~+~~~
It's Tiv's birthday and Davquil has been planning his party since before the Hatching exploded in a new round of Weyr gossip and controversy. Poor T'vax is a bit down because Dav has been acting weird but hopefully he'll cheer up when he realizes everyone's there for his special day. You're surprised, right Tiv?
~~~+~~~
T'vax hasn't forgotten about Dav's birthday, not that she would blame him; training is rough! But he didn't forget and he got her the most delightful gift that prompted a rather comical thank you moment. Aren't they pretty?
~~~+~~~
While en route to gather a bucket of oil and a brush to tend to Niekolgoth by the lake, Davquil is waylaid by a particularly adorable Silverlight firelizard with a ribbon fetish. One of her birthday ribbons is lost in the encounter but Dav meets an RR Flame rider by the name of Sk'ar. Flitts do the darnedest things.
Davquil thinks Hedara is wonderful. Not only is she friends with her brother, but her dragon was the mother of Niekolgoth. She also thinks that the woman has held her head and her humility quite well despite having Impressed to a Queen. Perhaps, despite their age difference, Davquil will be able to count her as a friend as well.
Davquil isn't quite sure what to make of Korvalia and her particular and borderline OCD qualities. However, she does know that the woman makes amazing meatrolls and knows exactly how to spice a hunk of meat. Though she can't help think that the woman is a bit disgusted whenever Dav talks to her; or perhaps uncomfortable so they don't really talk all that much. Maybe it has something to do with Niekolgoth?
T'vax, or Tiv as Davquil calls him, has become perhaps one her best friends since leaving Icy Caverns Hold and Barenda behind. They met during Candidate Chores and have become very close; even their dragons get along well. Davquil particularly likes Slinesteth's quiet yet observant nature. Over the past few turns they have become increasingly close and after the ordeal they shared, almost inseparable; they are now Weyrmates.
Valenrek Iceborn | 5 | ISW | Weyrbrat
Valenrek was one of the troublesome children in the creche where Davquil often helped out between chores as a Candidate. They formed a special bond and she is one of the few people the child tends to behave for. The child's mother--Valenia--has little to do with him and his father--Barrek--doesn't even really know he exists though his sire is debated as Valenia isn't exactly the one man sort of woman.
V'quin is Davquil's oldest brother and the one who got her into the Weyr as a Candidate despite the tension between Weyr and Hold. She very nearly worships the man, though she is well aware of his faults. She is also enamored of his dragon, Irrakath.
Female | 19 | Single Moonlight Dragonrider and Assistant Weyrlingmaster at Ice Stone Weyr Polite | Quiet | Determined | Efficient | Particular Black (F) Pretty | Sunlance-Black Croony Profile
Summary
Korvalia is a strange and rather reserved young woman. She is extremely well kempt and tends to be a bit obsessive about cleanliness and order. She is unfailingly polite and proper much of the time, keeping her thoughts to herself. Such thoughts as the unnaturalness of cross-Impression or the downright blasphemous Impression of Queens to boys. It is these thoughts that she keeps to herself. As a result she tends to come off as cold and aloof. Despite Impressing Moonlight Korinath, she still likes to spend time cooking in the kitchen when she can though having been tapped as the new Weyrlingmaster's assistant is proving to be more than enough work and far more irritating than she ever thought it would be.
Dragon Summary
Korinath is quite the chatterbox; in fact it is all that Korvalia can do sometimes—being the quite individual that she is—to tolerate the dragon’s constant input. The Moonlight has declared herself the hub of all the Weyr’s gossip and nosy little thing that she is, has decided that she has to know everything that is going on. Despite her love of gossip, Korinath is a friendly and bubbly little dragon who is able to put even the most skittish or uncertain dragons at ease with her good-natured babbling. It is fully her intention to needle Korvalia into getting a firelizard or two so they can help her keep an eye on the Weyr.
Current Plots
On her way to the Kitchens well before dawn to begin the making and baking of the morning bread and the seasoning of the meat, Korvalia comes across the strangest sight she’d seen in her Turns at the Weyr. A black wher guarding the corridor that led to the crèche. Though Whers are not particularly nice to look at, and Rallisk almost slobbered on the girl’s dress, Korvalia has decided that Rallin is a man with a good head on his shoulder. Who’d have thought?
~~~+~~~
Korvalia was working in the kitchens the morning after Impressing Korinath, unable to break the habit so quickly, when the boy who had Impressed to the male Silverlight came onto the scene with his dragon in tow. Unsure what to think about the pair—aside from being grateful that the beast hadn’t cross-Impressed—Korvalia set about getting food for both dragon and rider while Korinath chattered away at Azeriuth. Maybe all Silverlights aren’t so bad.
As Korvalia’s older brother—half-brother in fact—she looks up to the man to a certain extent. However, she does not approve of his whoring around or his general irreverence. In short, they tend to clash and butt heads, especially when the topic of Korvalia’s father comes up. She is of the opinion that Barrek is a touch ungrateful for all that Korven Castor has done for him. From stories told, Barrek was not an easy child to raise any more than he’s an easy adult to get along with. He is especially irritable since his Impression to the rather violent Flame from the ill-fated hatching that sparked outright aggression between Hold and Weyr.
Though Davquil is very much like Korinath, Korvalia isn’t too fond of the girl. She is all over the place, her hair is always a mess and worst of all, she has a male dragon. Still, she doesn’t hate the younger girl; she would just prefer not to converse with her when at all possible.
Korven Castor | 48 | ISW | Healer
Korvalia loves her father very much and finds his occupation as a Healer admirable though she could never be a part of it do to her obsession with cleanliness; blood on her clothing would never work. She is grateful that he brought their family back to the Weyr, for had he not she might never have Impressed Korinath.
Though Korvalia isn’t exactly fond of the man’s Wher—or any Wher for that matter—she finds the older man to be pleasant enough company. He does not treat her like some errant child but as the woman she truly is. This is much appreciated.
Rekalia Castor | 46 | ISW | Baker
While Korvalia loves her mother, there are definitely things that drive her a little insane about the woman. Mainly it is her unending obsession with never having Impressed when she was younger and the role that Barrek played in that through no fault of his own. It is from her mother, though, that Korvalia most likely gets her neurosis.
Despite their very different personalities, Korvalia and Rekkora get along quite well. Korvalia thinks that her younger sister could stand to be a touch less prideful and arrogant but at the same time she is glad that her sister possesses the confidence she does, especially since she was transferred, on her own, to the Southern Continent. Korvalia worries for her some days but given her sister’s ability to make friends so readily, she doubts her worries are logical.
Korvalia still isn’t sure what she thinks of the boy and his dragon, though as time passes she seems to be developing a soft spot for the uncertain lad. He doesn’t seem so bad, and his dragon is male after all, for all that it is a Silverlight. Time will only tell how Korvalia will feel about the pair down the road.
Female | 17 | Single Abyss Weyrling at Rainbow Mists Weyr Vain | Manipulative | Driven | Confident | Vindictive No Pets Currently Profile
Summary
The best way to understand Rekkora is to realize that she is a confident, ambitious and driven young woman. Much of what she does can be explained by those three traits. Her propensity to pretend to be weaker than she truly is in order to capture the protection and loyalty of the men around her and even her never-ending flirtatious nature. She is manipulative and a bit deceptive though never in a malicious way. In fact, something that not many know about her, especially at Rainbow Mists Weyr, is that she was her father’s assistant back at Ice Stone Weyr and knows a fair amount about basic healing procedure and is surprisingly good in high tension situations. One would never guess that the girl who squeals in fright at the sight of goopy meat slop in order to appear the damsel is the same young woman who would apply pressure with her bare hands to a gushing wound without a second thought and start snapping orders for bandages and salves. Now that Sunvoiath is in the picture, Rekkora is an ever more dynamic individual. She cares deeply for the Abyss and is annoyed by the near constant speculation in regards to the Queen's character and by proxy, Rekkora's character as well. Though rather than pitch a fit, Rekkora has determined to prove the gossips and doomsayers wrong. She and Sunvoiath will be the greatest rider and dragon pair to grace the heights of Rainbow Mists, if not Pern!
Dragon Summary
Sunvoiath is a bit of a conundrum; filled with philosophical pondering and disjointed speech, she often finds it hard to express herself in a clear fashion, especially when pressed to expound on her own qualities--clearly she is too great for words. She is proving to be quite insightful and so far even of temper, though she does not restrain her opinion or her desires; and why should she? She finds the apprehension of the other weyrfolk to be amusing more than anything though does seem to show a hint of annoyance that whispered words are bothering her Rekkora. Unafraid to issue an order, be it to lowly Green or lofty Bronze, she can also be a bit forceful with Rekkora though the girl only seems amused by it. Whether the Abyss was born vain or whether she adopted the trait from Rekkora, she rather enjoys the looks of awe and wonder she receives and encourages it by striking regal poses and unfurling her wings to display her markings. As the time passes, however, Sunvoiath is proving to be slightly possessive of Rekkora and doesn't tolerate long separations or extended distractions very well.
Current Plots
When word went out that Gold Archith had risen, Rekkora put in her application for a transfer to Rainbow Mists Weyr. Surely down there she would find her calling; and her Queen. A very nearly graduated Purple Weyrling arrived to take her to RMW; his name K’tar and his dragon was Viarth. She was introduced to several of the Weyrlings and has already made plans to win K'tar over and turn him into one of her minions friends.
~~~+~~~
The day after she arrived, once she’d gotten all of her belongings unpacked and settled in her room the way she liked them, Rekkora decided that it was time to seek out a few boys to do her bidding. And low and behold, one presented himself for inspection along with his deranged Black dragon Junith. She has decided that K’rill holds promise. Junith, however, may prove to be a bit of a problem.
~~~+~~~
After a month at the Weyr, Rekkora has settled in and is still working out her plans to navigate the social structure of Rainbow Mists. She's already started with the Weyrlings but sadly none of them are paired with Kings and so she aims to set her sights a bit higher; it never hurts to have friends in high places after all. While scheming and dreaming, she makes the acquaintance of one of the Weyr's older inhabitants. Perhaps she has some wisdom to impart.
~~~+~~~
The time has finally arrived--in a rather annoyingly unannounced fashion--for the eggs to hatch. Rekkora, after a rather spectacular display of her ability to make herself presentable in an abbreviated amount of time, arrives on the sands to find the golden egg already hatched and in its place an Abyss. Of course her annoyance turns to amusement as the Abyss proceeds to turn into a newly hatched dictator amongst her siblings. It's not being bossy if you're the boss.
~~~+~~~
After a rather irksome morning meal during which Rekkora overheard the beginnings of what might prove to be rather obnoxious rumors that would cast a disparaging light on herself and her young Queen she decided that rather than hide away from the wagging tongues, she would proudly display Sunvoiath in the midday sun. This is not a pair to be cowed by a few overly opinionated people.
Rekkora rather adores her older brother and in a way some of his personality traits seemed to have rubbed off on her; namely an overabundance of confidence and an assuredness that she can wrap any member of the opposite sex around her little finger. Though they aren’t particularly close—and none of her family is particularly close with the man—Rekkora does send him letters from time to time, telling him of her adventure in the South.
Irai Cliffborn | 73 | CSH | Holdfolk
Having met on what Rekkora thinks is a chance encounter, the young woman finds the older one to be friendly enough and just peculiar enough to keep her interested. Of course a chance to visit the seaside hold also helps as Rekkora has not seen the sea before in her life. As far as old women go, Irai isn't nearly as annoying as she could be; if she would just stop blathering about her children and grandchildren...
Rekkora and her older sister, like most siblings, have their moments where they cannot possible stand each other and then moments where they get along just fine. Though, as Rekkora was her father’s little girl and helped him out in the Infirmary, and is far more outgoing, they don’t often occupy the same space.
Korven Castor | 48 | ISW | Healer
Rekkora adores her father an gets much of her confidence in her appearance from him and his constant assertions that she was the most beautiful little girl in the Weyr. She also gained from him, a working knowledge of basic healing procedures. Their relationship is probably closer than any relationship in their small family.
The second young man Rekkora met at Rainbow Mists Weyr, she has found she rather likes his company and is determined to make him one of her male friends. His dragon Junith, however, she could gladly do without. The daft Black is convinced that she will one day be a Queen. To put it plainly, the two do not get along well at all.
K’tar was the one that brought Rekkora to Rainbow Mists Weyr and though he is a little bit younger than she is, Rekkora intends to add him to her collection of boys; when she Impresses a Queen—which she is ridiculously certain of—she will need faithful followers.
Rekalia Castor | 46 | ISW | Baker
Rekkora and her mother have a strange relationship, mostly because of her mother’s paranoid delusions that her husband will leave her. Rekalia is much of the time a loving mother but there are times when her paranoia gets the best of her and she’s convinced that Korven likes Rekkora more than her. It has caused a bit of strain between the two because Rekalia will often take out her fears on Rekkora. Their separation is perhaps a good thing as now Rekalia will be forced to either confront or transfer her paranoid delusions onto another poor unfortunate soul.
Female | 18 | Single Vrishna Clan Representative at Rainbow Mists Weyr Loyal | Adventurous | Resourceful | Lively | Conflicted Neon Rainbow Poica | Male Canine Mud Profile
Summary
Saddyris is your average conflicted Caravanwoman. She loves her life amongst the clan and the fulfillment it brings her and yet at the same time she longs to discover what life is like outside the caravan. She is a clever, resourceful and skilled young woman with a knack for bow-hunting and tracking as well as training canines to do just about anything you could ever want them to do. She helps her father with the runners when she can and is a forward trail scout for the caravan much of the time. Curious and quick-witted, she enjoys meeting new people but often gets restless when stuck in one spot for long, boding ill for any attempts to settle down outside the Clan.
Current Plots
Saddyris arrives at the Weyr with her cousin Dyranor and her little brother Mobrey. The aide of the Vrishna Clan had been requested and as her grandfather couldn’t move the entire clan ahead of schedule, she and her cousin were sent along, Mobrey tagging along. Shouldn’t take too long to get to the Weyr, right?
~~~+~~~
After an afternoon of physical exertion, Saddyris finally returns to the Weyr only to run into a rather interesting character with a tamed bird unlike any she'd ever seen before. For all that he stutters and seems more that a little flustered by her presence, Saddyris is quite interested in getting to know him. Never know who you'll meet after sunset.
~~~+~~~
Saddyris attends the hatching at Rainbow Mists after waking her cousin from a late morning nap. In a bit of a huff she finds herself more than a little wary by the presence of an Abyss on the sands. What can it mean?
As potential future leader, after his father of course, Dyranor is a popular young man among the Vrishna Clan and because they often work in close quarters, Saddyris rather likes him, despite his tactlessness. Secretly, the reason she was sent along with him was because he had a tendency to put his foot in his mouth and she was good at smoothing ruffled feathers. The two are close--not quite as close as brother and sister but nearly--and good at reading the body language of one another.
Though he seems almost adorably challenged in regards to socializing without stuttering, Saddyris finds herself curious about this young man and his ability to train large predatory birds. Perhaps after a while he'll grow used to speaking with her? Whatever the case may be she is interested in getting to know the lad.
Saddyris positively adores her only brother and the fact that he is adopted almost never comes up unless brough up by an outside party as he clearly is not related by blood to the woman. She adores his observant manner and his enthusiasm for work. While he might not have been born of the Clan he is now well and truly a Caravanman and in three Turns, she hopes he will choose to stay with them even though she herself questions her future.
Saddyr Vrishna | 67 |DRH/CSH | Clan Leader
Saddyris is one of Saddyr’s favored grandchildren and not just because she is named for him. Likewise, Saddyris adores her grandfather and does what she can to please him. She understands that above all, he wants her to be happy but that he also would like her happiness to include the Clan. He—amongst other reasons—is the main reason why she hesitates to leave the Clan to explore the world around her.
Male | 18 | Single Vrishna Clan Representative at Rainbow Mists Weyr Tactless | Proud | Loyal | Temperamental | Witty Black-White Male Suiauthon Profile
Summary
Dyranor is a proud if somewhat irresponsible young man who is confident in his future role as heir to the Vrishna Clan; perhaps a bit more confident than he should be. He loves his colorful heritage and the attention it gains him from the womenfolk isn't half bad either. He can be a bit tactless in tense situations and isn't always as serious as he should be; drinking, dancing and gambling a bit more than is wise. Despite his faults, however, he is loyal and hard working when he's not distracted.
Current Plots
After being selected to represent the Clan after a request for help by Rainbow Mists Weyr, Dyranor is sent with his cousins Saddyris and Mobrey to the Weyr. Of course they got a little sidetracked on the way. A little dancing won't hurt.
~~~+~~~
Dyranor is currently attending Archith's hatching at Rainbow Mists Weyr; his hair is a mess and he's more than a little confused by the Abyss on the sands. Clueless caravan man!
The adopted brother of one of his two favorite cousins, Dyranor rather likes the somber lad though admittedly he's not overly interested in being best friends with the kid. He is, however, glad that he seems to have settled quite nicely into the clan over the years.
Saddyr Vrishna | 67 | DRH/CSH | Clan Leader
As the leader of the Clan and a grandfather, Dyranor has great respect for Saddyr. In his own strange, round about way, Dyranor would like to grow up to be like his grandfather though somewhere along the line it seems that his course deviated quite drastically.
One of his favorite cousins, perhaps because they were born in the same year, Dyranor is quite close to Saddyris. Of course he's a little bit clueless as to the fact that she subtly seems to lead the band of forward scouts. He is good at taking cues from her and he is rather impressed by the way she can navigate social situations with grace and ease much of the time.
