Se'Kt shook his head sadly, "I've heard nothing yet, though I have made a point to visit the Queenlet as often as I can. As far as they can tell there is nothing really wrong with her leg. I sincerely hope there isn't some unforeseen damage that cannot be corrected. Epsilith is no help in the matter either, he's being strangely evasive about talking with the Silverlight. If I didn't know him any better, I may assume he was purposefully avoiding speaking to her" he said thoughtfully. His Ice had never before been so closed off to him. It wasn't as if he'd never spoken to Silverlights before; this was Ice Stone, there were a few of them. But this one in particular seemed to almost concern him. Well, as much as a Dragon can be concerned. Se'Kt resolved to have a long chat with his Ice King when he woke tomorrow. Se'Kt realised he'd been staring into space and smiled an apology to Rallin, "In any case, I am glad to hear things have started to cool off. I will admit to some paranoid feelings myself of late regarding potential violent acts" he said and laughed to cover his own nervousness. The truth was he was still a little worried, but Rallin had reassured him greatly, "By the way, the young lad, how do you know him? He seems very attached to you, are you fostering him perhaps?" Se'Kt asked, realising he had no idea how the pair would know each other.

Rallin had been disappointed that Se’kt had not heard anything from the Healers and LifeWing Riders either, other than a lack of knowledge, but then, what with Sanshe still being sick, and the Silverlight’s injury, and all the injuries that had resulted from the scuffles erupting among those with particularly strong opinions about the Silverlights and their status, it wasn’t like those doing the patching up were going to have the time or inclination to talk about much of anything. He thought the other man’s laughter sounded a little nervous, but, well, Se’kt was grown, though still about a decade younger than Rallin, and could handle his nerves however he chose. At least, that was what Rallin told himself.
Se’kt’s next question made him smile. “Tamaruk, well, I met him when MasterHealer Aurelav’s daughter, Ayasha, came in and asked for my help getting a patient to relax. Turns out the patient was him,” Rallin smiled. “Well, his canine fell in love with Rallisk, and he decided I must be an ok guy. I’m not really fostering him, he goes back and forth between me and Gillian mostly, and spends some time with Masterhealer Aurelav’s family.”

Se'Kt nodded, "He's a lucky young man to have so many loving figures in his life" he said by way of compliment, "And your Rallisk certainly seems to have adopted the lad herself" he added with a light chuckle. Se'Kt was not one of those riders who thought Watchwhers to be useless or stupid. On the contrary, he'd seen first hand what the loving devotion of those beasts could accomplish in aid of their handlers. He also wasn't one who believed Silverlights to be any kind of scourge on the Weyr. They were Dragons after all, just like any other when it came down to it, "So what does the future hold for the young man, is he to be a candidate?" Se'Kt asked politely.

“That she has,” Rallin smiled. Rallisk usually didn’t like children, so it had been kind of surprising that she accepted Tamaruk so readily. He shook his head in response to Se’kt’s question. “Probably not for this Hatching,” he said. “The dragons agree that he could be, but we’re not sure if he’s old enough yet. It’s hard to say, but even he’s probably closer to 12 than 13, and, well, some people,” Rallin’s tone indicated that he was not one of them “are worried that he might not be stable and confident enough yet to Stand, so, he waits this hatching out at least.”

"A shame, I think the boy would make a fine candidate as he is now" Se'Kt said quietly. It was true, he did seem to have that special aura about him that would indicate a splendid rider, "I am glad to hear that all is well, well, except for the usual occurrences that is" Se'Kt smiled, "though I would gladly help in any way that I could if there were any trouble" he glanced once more about the relatively peaceful room and then nodded to Rallin, "I must take my leave of you now. I'm to train some Weyrlings in the morning, so I should try and sleep while there is still some night left. Unless there is any other business you'd like to discuss?"

“I think you mentioned all the important stuff,” Rallin said. “If you hear more about Sayurith’s leg, I’d really like to know.”
Rallisk raised her head to look at the Hers and the other adult male human. She looked at them silently for a moment, and then looked back at the now silent and nearly asleep form of Tamrauk, still curled up against her.
Rallin chuckled. There were times when it definitely seemed like Rallisk could talk directly to him. “Rallisk reminds me to thank you for escorting Tamaruk here,” Rallin said, his eyes inviting Se’kt to share the knowledge of the statement’s absurdity. Whers, after all, could not talk.

Se'Kt smiled, "Then please tell Rallisk she is most welcome" he said with a chuckle. She was a truly charming creature, "And I'll be checking in on the little Silverlight tomorrow. I'm hoping to have something to report to you" he added more sedately. He turned on his heel then and swiftly left the room. He was puzzled by the little Queen's injury. Any other Dragon would have been trying to walk on it by now. But she didn't seem to want to. He would question the healers at a more reasonable hour, for now he had some sleeping to catch up on. He returned to his weyr, only to find Epsilith stirring from his rest, Se'KtMine? he sounded groggy. Se'Kt chuckled and slipped off his jacket, Go back to sleep, everything is fine he told his Dragon, even though he wasn't entirely assured of that fact himself.
