"Hah! Nice work Quiorith, is it supposed to be a wherrie?" R'le was looking down at a drawing in the sand. A piece of beach near the where Elraisha was living was a fair place to take a breather, and enjoy some of the Cloud dragon's more artistic endeavors. R'le had taken off his shoes, electing to carry them as he ran about. Quiorith gave a huff at R'le comment, looking displeased.
Its a self portrait.
R'le started laughing again, this time getting a hit from the Cloud's tail. The Cloudrider looked a little miffed, though he was still having fun. Quiorith went to erase the drawing, swishing his tail over his previous work. He was going to try R'le this time, just to annoy him. R'le decided to tromp around, leaving his dragon to his work. It was nice to run around like this, and Quiorith didn't mind the beach at all. It was actually one of the best places for him if he was on the ground.
As he walked along he came to a rocky portion on the beach and decided he needed boots. He spun around and sat on the rock, suddenly being buzzed by a flitter. The skittish creature vanished, but R'le caught a glimpse of the Gold firelizard before she disappeared. Weird. After he got his shoes on and turned around he looked surprised to see a clutch of eggs nestled in the sand between the rocks. That weird, they seemed too close to the water. He wasn't sure about it, and the skittish Queen hadn't returned to chase him away. He decided to get them back to the Weyr.
---
R'le was heading back to the kitchen to check on the eggs. Both him and Quiorith had been actually very excited about all of this, even if it kept them at the Weyr more. The Cloud had been very attentive, always reminding his rider to take a look. R'le headed up to the hearth, taking a peek. The seventeen eggs seemed fine, just as usual. He looked them all over before pausing. One of the eggs was wiggling. Oh!
Quiorith! The eggs, some are moving!
The Cloud got very excited then. He decided to get the message around, some of the dragons he had mentioned the eggs to. R'le in the mean time got to talking with some of the kitchen workers, offering to help out with the meat if they needed it. He was pretty excited.
