Afternoon
Summer was a good time for the icy Weyr. Much less cold so that people were more ready to come out and enjoy the weather. It certainly made Hedara want to finish work and get out and about as soon as possible. She needed time to stretch her legs in the middle of the day. Today though, she had even more reason to be done quickly. A visitor was coming.
After completing what she needed to, for the moment she headed out into the Weyrbowl, Ivy tailing her with a pleased croon. The Green firelizard was always a boost to Hedara’s mood, but when Hedara was in a decent mood already Ivy was all the more pleased. The little lady was floating on air as the Ice Rider walked forward with purpose. When she got outside she had a moment to stop and enjoy being outdoors. The always friendly Ivy darted forward when she found her comforting friend of Temperanth waiting in the Bowl. The Ice accepted the little Green amicably, with a little rumble that had Ivy trying to croon to match her. It never worked, but the flitter would never stop trying. Hedara watched this exchange with a tiny, tiny smirk, almost impossible to see. At least Hedara never had to express anything to the Ice dragoness. She wasn’t sure she could. Temperanth knew. Restrained reactions or no, Temperanth would see past it, to the truth of the matter, to what was not going to be said.
Hedara took a small step back and looked up, to the sky. Dragons were always flying above the Weyr on such a nice day. The Blue, Black, Aurora, all flying above the weyr, getting their riders where they needed to be, or just enjoying the mild weather. However, today she was not looking up for the sake of looking. No, today she was waiting.
Temperanth looked amused. Her rider was very much straightforward in ways, and the sort of childish way she had finished quick to go out to play with friends was charming to her. Of course, that wasn’t how Hedara saw it. The Ice of course felt like that was the case. Just like she felt that Hedara was equally childish for trying to avoid Almine on occasions that the pinkrider wanted to dress her up. Temperanth rumbled quietly at the very thought. Today, however, was not the day that they were going to have a long discussion on the potential harm or good of hyperbole and harpers. No, That was for another day.
