Seryl: An island in the middle of between.
Others: Ghosts of people, riders and dragons that haunt the Dark and the nights.
The Dark: From where the Others hail. People believe that the Dark is actually between.
Lorez: The town (yes, not hold) where people from all times of Pern have gathered. From the first pass to the current time.
The Tides: How people arrive on Seryl. They wash up on the shores of the beach but never wash out.
Welcome to Seryl. There is no time on Seryl and no way to truly tell the passing of hours. The island is surrounded by a circle of darkness around every horizon and there is no sunlight. Oddly enough, the days are bright and the nights are pitch black. No one knows quite how long they’ve been on Seryl. When you don’t age and every night brings the possibility of an Other attack, there’s no point in counting the days.
However, an odd thing occurred recently: dragonriders, the first that weren’t Others, washed up on the island’s shores carrying eggs. Of course, their stay was brief as tensions were high and the locals and the dragonriders didn’t get along. Soon they were kicked out, their Weyrlings split between the home that the riders are trying to build and the town that is hesitant to accept them.
From the locals in Lorez, to the scavengers in the woods, to the dragonriders in the mountains, there is a place for everyone. With a Tide currently open characters from any pass or interval can wash up on Seryl’s shores. Throw in a character, join in on the mayhem. Things aren’t always what they appear.

Lost Between is a Non-Canon Dragonriders of Pern roleplay built on a series of “what ifs”. The IC world isn't a pretty place. Bad things will happen. Others will attack. How you choose to play your character is what is going to determine if they make it or they don't. We rely heavily on In-Character Actions have In-Character Consequences, but it will be the players who decide how the outcome of it all will be decided.
- No word count.
- No character limits.
- Character driven.
- With ghosts and a dragon hivemind!
- No flights.
- A game with a plot ending prepared and planned out. If we get there and how we get there is up to the members!
- Peril and shades of grey morality.
- Where ‘burn it with fire’ is a valid response to many difficult situations.
- Where the moonshine may blind you… Or worse.
