Afternoon
Hedara didn’t have time to relax. Besides the day to day work of being a weyrwoman, she was busy reminding herself why a story hating woman like herself had gotten chosen by an Ice dragon.
It was because she was willing to learn from history.
So between everything else, she had every record she could find on warfare. Not that she hadn’t done this before, when she had decided to battle Tiberax, but now it was all on a larger scale. Larger then even Ice Stone. She had read, and read, until she thought the letters would be permanently etched on her eyes.
Hedara leaned back, trying to get comfortable. She had trained herself to do whatever it was she needed to do to make this work. Sword or words, she would have both to bring out if she needed. Even if it pushed out the meager free time that she had straight out. She got enough sleep for her, she was not going to let herself fall asleep during a battle after all. But it was tiring it more ways than just sleep. Temperanth let out a long sigh while Hedara continued to read. Temepranth had told all the stories that Hedara had requested, but had decided that they weren’t precise enough for her and went back to the papers. Temepranth hadn’t exactly took offense, so much as made it a point to learn the histories perfectly so she could bring them up at a moment’s notice. Just in case.
Hedara tried to ignore the other war she was handing over to her riders, but it was hard. It kept slinking into her mind. She had a hard enough time with all this as it was, she didn’t have to go checking everyone else’s work. She let out a long sigh and willed herself back on topic. She didn’t have time to get distracted.
