Temperanth watched the bowl. It wasn’t an uncommon activity for the Queen, but she looked lightly troubled. She was watching some of the dragons, intent for some time. Finally she let out a long breath, a sigh.
[smear:33ccff]Hedara, I would like a word.[/smear:3366ff] The Ice felt Hedara lean back in her chair. She was working, as always.
Of course. What do you need? Hedara adored Temperanth, despite their occasional butting of heads. The Queen felt the same, so she didn’t try to monopolize Hedara’s time when working, unless it was something fairly important. Usually.
[smear:33ccff]I need advice on flirting.[/smear:3366ff]
There was long stretch without conversation.
And you want my advice? When the thought finally reached Temperanth it was colored with disbelief. Why are you asking this now?
[smear:33ccff]I want to do something light. And I was thinking about my chat with Archith and how I really don’t look at the handsome males around here very often. I think it would be nice.[/smear:3366ff] The Queen swished her tail, causing a batch of snowflakes to catch the air. It was something to do while Hedara considered an answer.
Be direct. Ask one of them to go flying with you. Or sit with you and people watch. Or swap stories, you enjoy that.
[smear:33ccff]That’s not different from what I usually do.[/smear:3366ff]
You do not usually do it with others though. I suspect that you won’t have to do all that much to display interest.
[smear:33ccff]Is that what you would do if you were attempting to find a mate?[/smear:3366ff]
I’m not a Queen dragon. Temperanth sighed again. This conversation was liable to be over soon, Hedara was getting short. She didn’t understand Hedara’s temperament concerning males. She seemed purposefully uninterested. Which made no sense to the Ice, but had no ability to present it differently for human sensibilities.
[smear:33ccff]Maybe I’ll just watch then.[/smear:3366ff]
Suit yourself. Temperanth rested her head as she watched the weyrbowl again, feeling a little melancholy. Although. The Ice raised her head again. If you wanted you could suggest a bit of racing with some of the other dragons and watch. It’s not flirting per say, but you do enjoy doing things with a group.
[smear:33ccff]That does sound fun. I might do that. Maybe I could convince Epsilith to join in…[/smear:3366ff]
Hedara smirked at her desk. Well Temperanth would manage, she was a Queen after all. Hedara would take it to the grave that she had ever given advice on flirting though. Probably bad advice too. Oh well.
