Appearance: Modeled on Myles Truitt Standing at 5'10 currently he still has a few inches to go to make his adult 6'0 even and will be a bit of a challenge for his tiny girl dragon. He has the classic triangular build of a dragonrider from his perfectly proportioned shoulders to his slim hips, long sturdy limbs and a good muscle tone to him. He is good looking in a boyish way and will look younger then his years all through his life. He has the family tight cork screw black curls and some strong African blood making the kink and the inky black more so but just enough "Other" that it is curl and not frizz. He is also has dark skin the colour of dark brewed klah and African features.
His bright engaging smile and the missing front tooth knocked out as a baby gives his smile a crooked, endearing side. His dark eyes can give the best puppy eyes at times, behind long eyelashes and perfectly curved eyebrows.
Thanks to a bad dose of Firehead he is impotent - so cannot sire children and maybe as a result or was going to happen anyway - is asexual and has stiffer joints with mild arthritis that can flare up from time to time in severe cold.
He loves bright colours and loose, comfortably fitting clothes and is having a hard time adjusting to the cold of the Northern reaches and has moved to layers and layers liked a bundled eskimo. He feels the cold with his stiffer joints and spends a lot of time shivvering and spending time on exercises to keep his joints as healthy as possible but he does have occasional bad days
Personality: Like his dragon he is honest, trust worthy and will do his absolute best for his family, dragon and friends. His heart is gold and has a real sweetness that will stay with him for him. He also despite his inherited dragonrider body it is totally down to genetics and a healthy metabolism, nothing he does and he is pretty geeky and nerdy with no interest in sports at all. He has a strong interest in harper training and loves knowlege, truth and integrity. He likes to write stories, poems and songs in his spare time. He also loves to act and can juggle, dance up a storm and is a great tutor among his class mates and weyrling class as he picks up knowledge like a sponge, has a passion for it and spends a lot of his time reading and keep up the Harper records and recording news, events and individual stories as well as memoirs, history and the facts he tries to always be impartial and keep to the truth. Like the rest of his family - 2 sets of twins and a long history of dragonriders and lifewing partners mean he is sensitive to his own twin and like his dragon - can pick up strong emotion like fear and happiness in his own twin too.
History: Zean has 2 unique facts about him 1 is that he is part of a set of twins and is also the youngest brother in his family as he has a set of older sisters too. 2 he comes from a unique family line in Ista and can trace their genealogy back a few generations of riders His family has produced many Istan dragon riders on his father's side, with 1 or 2 Weyrleaders and Weyrwomen and his mother's side has had healers and Lifewing partners going back a few generations too. Harpering, Healing and Serving Pern are strong characteristics, traits and history coming from both sides of his family. Both his parents are currently posted to Ice but they have been all over Pern with their family at various times. Once such occasion was in Southern Weyr where all the family children contracted Firehead, thanks to the skill of their mother and her partner all survived but all have side effects only for the parents to then catch it and die, leaving their kids orphans..
So brought up mainly by the Weyr creche he experienced the normal Weyr based childhood and was educated by the Weyrharper catching the passion for knowledge, learning and words early on. He was always writing down stories of individual riders and re-recording storeis of past Weyrleaders and ordinary riders too. He knows all his family geneology and his their keeper if you want to be bored
Having been Searched 3 Siblings have stood for Hatchings at various Weyrs across Pern but so far been unlucky. Hearing of a clutch hardening on Ice sands they have decided to try there and lucky Z'ean found his loving white partner Solstith.

She be in truth. Not a little piece or a mere half of the truth, she wants the whole truth. When she wants to know something she is relentless, and that can drive her and her rider into precarious situations. She herself can face the world the way it truly is, and has the strength to continue on without missing a step.
