I'm really happy with how great the move was and how nicely everything has shaped up here. This is a thread to ask if you guys had any additional suggestions for our forum (visually) and to outline a couple goals for the out-of-character future.
I'd like to see us get a real advertisement up. One that draws people in and definitely makes them aware of our extreme non canon nature. Also a picture would be nice.
And I'd like to get the top banner and main header area finished, as well as talk about a time moving system and how we want to move it along (day by day, bidaily, faster than day by day, etc.).
Hmm... Well... ^^'; I still have info I got to finish for you, Kaya-la.
As far as visuals go... I don't think there is much else... I can try to help with some advertising things, like alternate buttons and things for people to choose from if I have time...
As far as moving time... day by day probably works alright... though... we have to think about how active we all really can be all the time. ^^';
I don't know how fast you want to be, but I'm okay with whatever in theory. Maybe we should try something first and see how it goes before promising to stick with one system. Or just make it variable anyway. Again, I'm not sure what is the best thing that will work right now, but I figure the faster we test the waters the better we can see what will work and what won't.
Well, I was thinking we could try out a day-by-day system, where threads made on the RP's day are set in that date until their end and new threads are made on whatever the new day is.
EX: month 1, day 1 = June 1 I make a thread on June 1, it's RP date is month 1 day 1, for the whole thread (barring circumstantial exception) Three days pass, it's June 4. I make another thread. That thread is month 1, day 4.
And so on.
Barring rarer exceptions like post-Flight RPs and similar things.
Dragons of every hue grace this tropical paradise. A lush jungle valley that boarders the ocean's Great Bay. Magnificent waterfalls laced with rainbows in their mist decorate the Weyr. A large field spreads out at the southern end of the valley. A refreshing lake nestles up against the edge of the Weyr Bowl. A small wall of stones between the jungle and Bowl borders the inner and outer Weyr. Even the beach is within walking distance, just on the other side of the Bowl's wall through a breathtaking arch. Dragons rest upon the heights, people bustle about the Weyr. Great birds called LifeWings soar peacefully and calm the Weyr with song.

Just my suggestions. Also may want to identify your administration and introduce them a little...
You mean talk about the staff? I though adverts were meant to be RP-oriented and focused on drawing in people to the opportunities and plots. What were you thinking?
No, not the staff as a whole. More like identify yourself when you talk about starting the Weyr or something... But not everyone, just you as the admin. Mostly just because I've read few adverts of late that do, but it isn't something that is necessary. *shrug* Heh.... ^^';
On the time thing real quick:
I wouldn't mind that, really... I think it works fine, but there needs to be a way to definitively recognize terminated Threads.
