One look at Rilora on a normal day, and you might wonder if this woman knows how to have fun. She takes her work a little too seriously, her social life a little too seriously, and applies that stress to just about everything else. When she’s around family or those she knows well she can relax a little but it doesn’t take much to get her anxiety riled back up again. She likes to be certain about her life and since becoming a Rider she’s had only a small number of things to be certain about. This makes her a bit batty as she struggles and strives to take up the mantel of Weyrwoman, wondering all the while if Isodae retired too early. Archith’s volatile temper and intense emotions don’t help either.
Archith is a young Queen, haughty and self-assured. She is quick to judge, quick to anger and quick to let everyone else know about it. She is always right and slow to forget insult or injury to her pride. She has little tolerance for disrespectful, insubordinate whelps. She does enjoy a good flight with friends and their company just as much. She demands excellence and will push for her Weyr’s greatness.
(in progress) When all else has failed || 77.03.15 || Rainbow Mists Weyr declares war. Make Me Whole || 77.02.20 || Archith has her third Hatching. The disappearance of one of her eggs leaves the event a mix of sadness and rage. Nine healthy dragonets hatch. A Bronze makes a questionable choice.
1000% Done || 77.02.15 || Rilora checks in on Rekkora after her mentor Irai is murdered.
After all of the sparks || 76.13.16 || Rilora and D'gan wake up from the Flight decidedly not naked. They consider their options.
Light || 76.13.15 || Archith Flies. She chooses Mosiliath.
Home Beckons || 76.13.11 || D'gan and Mosiliath return to Rainbow Mists from months away at Fort Weyr regarding political matters. He surprises Rilora. They have breakfast. She's glad he's back.
Something strange is happening here || 76.06.15 || Rilora is found by T'kar after her very personal visit to the Aerie. He asks about some missing letters concerning K'rad. They make it through business talk with difficulty.
hang your secrets || 75.13.27 || Artemis receives a mysterious hawk. She rushes to discuss with Rilora. Artemis suspects sinister motives. The two discuss recent unrest and disappearances.
We had a quarrel || 75.10.16 || T'kar thinks an apology will fix a betrayal. He is wrong.
Ayleneth's Hatching || 73.11.18 || Rilora, Lithena and Archith attend a Hatching. Archith is surprisingly civil given her jealousy about how much attention Ayleneth has been getting from the new males.
A new, warm home || 73.09.06 || Some Northerner from Telgar transfers to Rainbow Mists. They are immediately set upon by an attention seeking Starlight and a moody Copper, and their Riders. Rilora and Archith stay out of it. Presumably they meet T'kar and Ancalanath later that day.
Much ado about something || 73.09.05 || R'le reports suspicious people with incoherent motives to the Weyrwoman. Rilora, R'le, D'gan, and others investigate. Two graves are found in the jungles.
Fly Away Home || 73.09.04 || It was a nice day. Then, Archith's clutchmate Copper Maetioth returns to Rainbow Mists.
But, what if...? || 73.08.26 || Archith frets over her dragonets as a first time mother. Rilora and Archith meet D'gan and Mosiliath. They all get to know each other at the beach.
Archith's Hatching || 73.08.23 || Archith has her first Hatching of 26 healthy dragonets. One has the audacity to hatch out of order. Mosiliath and D'gan arrive at the Weyr and anger Archith. Rilora is devastated M'kota doesn't attend.
Limitless || 73.07.07 || Archith takes her maiden Flight. She chooses M'kota's Bronze Promeuth. Rilora, having avoided longstanding Weyr advice about Flights, doesn't take it well.
Look at that view || 73.06.18 || Rilora writes letters while enjoying the view from the heights. M'kota escapes the guardian demon, discovering his values are different. M'kota and Rilora have a brief, amicable chat.
Would you like to have dinner? || 73.06.07 || Rilora and K'nan have dinner. Rilora jokingly grieves her old life. K'nan sympathizes. They talk politics.
Large and In Charge || 73.06.02 || Grouchy Archith and too many BronzeRiders test Rainbow Mists' up and coming Weyrwoman. Rilora meets M'kota and Lavender. N'rim messes up his work as a SearchRider again.
Though Archith may never let go of her “troublemaking Tigers” grudge, Rilora recognizes this pair’s experience and leadership capabilities. She trusts D’gan’s decisions more than any other Wingleader and knows she can count on him for help in a pinch. She just hates asking for it. He’s a well-grounded Rider and she likes working with him. They tired out being a couple and instead fell back into a comfortable workplace friendship.
K’nan of Bronze Embraeth | 23 | RMW | Wingleader of the Cloud Runners Wing
Rilora’s known K’nan since her early Queen Rider days. They get on well enough as friends but K’nan doesn’t speak his mind so they’ve stayed friends. She thinks him an apt Wingleader but wishes he were a bit more talkative.
Sisterhood: it has its ups and downs. She loves her sister but thinks she doesn’t take things seriously enough. She’s also a terrible tease. All the same, they see each other and Rilora relates the family news, as Lithena doesn’t go home often (like she should).
M’kota Dasser | 23 | Transferred Away, she cares not where | Bronze Rider
Rilora doesn’t like to talk about it. They met, he was nice, his Promeuth won the Flight and they never spoke. Some charmer. He’s transferred back to whence he came and she’d rather forget about him, honestly.
Their friendship began slowly, seeing R'le here and there about the Weyr, with Rilora seeing R’le about the Weyr in her working hours often enough that she considers him a friend. When he became a Junior Weyrleader their connection strengthened. While he could certainly stand to pull more of his fair share of the work, he puts the rest of the Riders in such good spirits she often forgives his other faults. She thinks him a loyal Rider and that he has a good head on his shoulders, if it is up in the clouds a bit much.
T'kar once had her trust and her confidence, but his unfaithfulness opened a rift between them that Rilora has never let heal.
He’s certainly forward. Rilora likes that he speaks his mind but does think he and Ancalanath fit a little too well into the young and reckless show-off stereotype. While he’s kept no secrets with his smiles and gifts he’s yet to actually confess anything. He makes a good working partner and she’s glad to have him around.

Lithena loves her life. She is her own master, follows the wind whichever way it may blow, and is always on the lookout for parties, celebrations and anyone who wants to go have a good time. She makes friends easily and is a terrible tease and flirt, though she’s yet to land a love interest yet. She attributes it to her free spirit. She’s too busy having fun and doing nothing to be weighed down by any man who can’t keep pace.
As much as Lithena likes to like people, Hrith likes people to like her. She's a generally agreeable, if not a touch vain, dragon. She likes socializing and gossip - on her terms - and is often doing things (or encouraging Lithena to do things) so that more people will like them. She goes out of her way to avoid conflict and to make others' days better but is always looking out for her own best interest first. Fortunately for the world, her best interest lines up well with the wellbeing of others. Well, most of the time. If there's something Hrith really wants she's shamelessly selfish about it.
Lithena pauses from the dance to chat with T'kar, but he's off, lost in the crowd and this Rider is on the prowl for a new dance partner at the Turnover Party
Lithena likes her sister very much, but Rilora is such a downer. She’s often stressed, won’t relax, and doesn’t seem to “get” her, but Lithena loves her all the same. She just doesn’t invite her to parties. She likes to tease her sister, telling people in imitation of the GoldRider: “I had fun once: It was terrible.”

Holt is a laid back lad growing into the strange idea of independence. He feels much more comfortable being told what to do, when to do it and just how it should be done: and you can bet he'll do his best to complete the task right. He enjoys time off in balance with work and understands there is a natural relationship between the two. He's still not sure what he wants to do a as Rider and with the final term of classes coming up, it's almost enough to rattle him. He doesn't talk about it much though.
Korith and Holt consider themselves extensions of each other with a thin wall in between. They understand that there are a few things they aren't always immediately ready to share. Korith is steadily there for H'rarn but does want to push them down the right path. He's just not entirely sure which one that is either. Now that they can fly on their own the two of them have been back to Dragon Ridge a couple times and he's in love with the mist strewn mountains of his Rider's former home.
Holt and K'tar met the day they were Searched by a slacking DarkBlue who dumped them off at the Weyr to figure things out for themselves. They managed to adapt to Weyr life together, bonded over their shared quirks of Candidacy and not throwing knives at H'rarn's head at the Weyr Games. They've had their trouble-seeking K'tar and trouble-avoiding Holt moments, their talks, their fights and with graduation on the horizon, it seems a lifelong friendship has been forged in the trials of weyrlinghood.
She was just another girl in his weyrling class until they met a month and a half later at the Gather at Cliffside. They danced and so did their dragons with the young weyrbrat Talira. After that they just kept running into each other, however casually, and of course it would be K'tar who would pry into his thoughts about her. He wanted the chance to get to spend some casual time with her without the Weyr and K'tar watching their every dance step. They found their little moments here and there: celebration dances, Hatching spectating, Turnday parties. It came as a surprise to no one that they decided to become weyrmates and are quite happy.
