Q'rin heard the forceful song as well and turned his head, just listening to it. "My," he said simply, smiling. He then inclined his head to the other Rider and rose, since he was still kneeling, padding over to join him and glancing at Tramesh, briefly touching to the one hiding under her wings, who mentally nudged him back reassuringly. Calming, he watched and waited, seeing the other chick seemed quite focused on one of his fellows.
He nodded his reply to H'vor's comment about being joined and patiently waited, curious who she had Linked to.

Ayasha felt as if she were floating away, listening to the songs of the little chicks. She found herself trying to determine what the first chick’s personality might be, based on the song, although it would be easier. She watched as the first chick and Q’rin found each other, and then waited for the second’s song.
However, the second chick did not apparently want to sing, not yet. Rather, she glanced back at her mother, clearly seeking permission to retreat from the eyes of the watchers. Another moment and the little bird retreated, hiding under her mother’s feathers once more.
“Come on,” Ayasha whispered. “You can sing, just close your eyes, pretend we aren’t here.” The little bird probably didn’t hear, for she stayed under her mother’s feathers while her mother pushed another chick forwards. This one, after being prompted by her parents, started things off with a whispery voice, transforming into a full, beautiful ringing arpeggio. Ayasha listened, admiring the little bird’s voice, but there was no special ring, no sense of knowing that this was her LifeWing, just a beautiful voice, with hints of sadness there as well.
The fourth chick, a male, leapt forward once one of his sisters had chosen. He had a quick, energetic song and wasted no time in starting or stopping. He ruffled his feathers and raced towards the human he had picked as his own, very pleased. His parents nodded in approval. Tramesh urged the shy little chick forward again. She was the last one left. She needed to chose.
So reluctantly the last chick come out from under her mother and looked at the Candidates. She was so nervous, she wanted to do this right. Her mother said this was what she should do. So timidly she opened her beak and out poured a most beautiful song that was so ethereal yet familiar it would break your heart. It was a song that begged to be listened to, yet left the listener with glassy tears edging up to spill over onto cheeks dimpled by a smile. She reached out with that song and in a moment she knew...

The mother nudged the last chick out from under her, clearly telling the young one that the time had come to sing. The last, fluffy chick slipped out and looked over the Candidates, standing there still.
Finally, she opened her beak and sang. The ethereal melody floated, reaching out to touch the corners of the room and from some corner of her being, Ayasha heard an echo, or rather, a response to the melody.
"Revallesh!"
Ayasha's cry was joy, love, relief, hope granted when nearly lost... Tears welled in her eyes, making them sparkle.
