Dalonia couldn't imagine why T'kar would need to know all the little details of her life. She didn't even want to know them. Then again, every blow, every word ever said to her had helped shape her and in the end, though she might have thought otherwise, her brothers and Barrek hadn't broken her. For all that she was mean and snarled and snapped like a grumpy wher, she was fair and had somehow managed to maintain her sense of honor. She had managed to cling to her sense of right and wrong by mere threads. Sure, she tended to fall in the grey zone more often than not, but deep down they hadn't corrupted her nearly as much as she'd insist.
As the dragonrider's hand continued to stroke through her hair, Dalonia leaned into him once more, her eyelids drooping. Her body was starting to ache; it was a dull but insistent ache with intermittent spikes of sharp pain. But if she concentrated on the hand in her hair, it wasn't so very bad. At the mention of the children, a smile spread slowly across her lips. "They're so beautiful. I'm glad they have one good parent." Her voice was soft and her eyes opened, seek out T'kar's gaze, perplexed for a moment by the tension and anger there. Leaning forward, she winced slightly as a shooting pain shot through her stomach but she ignored it. Pest rolled out of the way as Dalonia scooted closer to T'kar, pulling at her wound in the process and heedless of the pain. Reaching out with both hands, she cupped either side of his face, her own features becoming rather serious as she slid calloused thumbs over the dragonrider's brows in an attempt to smooth them.
"Could they maybe have whers instead? If you want them to have firelizards though...you're their father." And she was just that sour-faced woman that visited once a day if she could manage it; less when she was busy.
