Evening; after dinner before dusk
No matter how many clutches Poica had, Saddyris wasn't sure that she would ever get used to the thrill of a hatching. She'd looked after the eggs with the help of the bright queen and the adorable neon tiger she'd chosen as the sire. But now it was time to bring the eggs down to the kitchen. They were very close to hatching if the rainbow's behavior was anything to go by and certainly she had no desire to be suddenly landed with eighteen baby flits. She's already given the largest egg to M'brey and so that left an even eighteen. She doubted there would be any trouble finding homes for the rest of the eggs and she only hoped that she hadn't waited too long.
Her hopes were dashed as she settled the padded basket in front of the kitchen hearth and two of the eggs began to wobble of their own accord. The next thing she knew, the hovering Poica was perched on the counter humming intently. "Well at least I already sent out word for people to come fetch the things." Saddyris muttered to herself as Mud sat at a slight distance to watch as his owner moved the basket to a more central location in the kitchen that would allow for a ring of hopefuls to surround it.
((I have decided that babies will be chosen at random for people to keep some element of authenticity to the randomness of firelizard hatchings as well as to keep things fair. That being said, however, I was allowed to pick one for Rekkora but I took a common to make sure all you lovlies get the shiny babies. All flits will come with a personalized image and a minibio because flits are more than accessories, they are tiny characters waiting to terrorize you at every turn!))
