Characters are dead and granted a power in death. They live out their ‘lives’ in a small town setting, either blissfully unaware of their own demise, mildly disturbed that there is ‘something wrong’, or completely aware of their death and seeking answers to discover their reasons for being in limbo. Characters may perish and respawn any number of times. Time is meaningless, age is meaningless, and at any moment their 'lives' may be disrupted by random 'Acts of God'. However, when someone is finally allowed to 'cross over', their existence in Woodburn falls is but a faint shadow on the memory of those souls which remain.
