An outbreak of an illness known as Greyspot Hemorrhagic Fever has decimated the dragon population of Pern, and in its aftermath, Outpost stands as a quarantine Weyr far to the North. With their existence regarded as a death sentence, Outpost finds that survival has become increasingly tangled in power struggles, vast conspiracies, and underhanded alliances.
Now, faced with the threat of a mysterious organization calling themselves the Brotherhood and the fallout of an engineered disease, Outpost stands on the brink of a political firestorm that may well lead to war.
