Early afternoon
And then I crashed into a tree. But I swerved right around it on my second try! You should have seen it.
Sounds nice. Mau was enjoying living vicariously through Quimyenth. At this point in her pregnancy moving around was a pain. Fortunately the Green was delighted to go on adventures and report back as soon as possible.
Here, let me show you what it was like when I got it right! The impression of a rush of wind and a vision of the skyline twirling appeared for Mau, and she smiled. She really wanted to go flying again. She wanted to do a lot of things really. She would very much like to be done with the whole being pregnant thing.
Of course, one should always be careful what they wished for.
Mau winced at the contraction. They happened, but these ones were a bit more frequent. She didn’t think they were quite close enough but… Well she was kinda sick of sitting her anyway. She doubted the healers would mind to assuage a first time mother’s fears, right?
“Qui, I’m going to waddle off to the healers, if they get back from their delivery let Korith know.” She stood up, prompting Hammer to get up as well. The firelizard had hardly left her side the last couple months.
Okay. Let me know if they say anything interesting. The Green moved in her seat, feeling extra wiggly today. Mau smiled and headed off. She had to stop from time to time, but she wasn’t far it just took focus. The neon Tiger was ever patient and kept close.
She made it soon enough and a healer was examining her in no time at all. This was all old hat at this point so she just went through the poking and prodding and didn’t’ notice much until the Healer called an aid and some movement started.
“Is everything okay?” Mau looked up, before her face hardened into concentration over another wave. The Healer paused and waited until she could focus.
“Everything is fine, you are having your baby now. We should-“
“Wait, now?!”
“Yes. You are in hard labor.”
Mau looked bewildered but managed an “Okay.” She hadn’t expected that. She told Qui briefly and then her attention was very much occupied.
KORITH! Get Holt’s butt to the healers! Qui hummed a little bit. It was her rider, so she had rights to a ‘hatching song’.
