At the edge of the weyrbowl, on the shores of the lake a shadow passed by, softly touching down and trotting down the shoreline to lose momentum, Junwingth landed with her rider in tow. A magnificent beast, a dragon was..and a magnificent amount of work as well. The black had complained of an itch where she just couldn't reach, and Ayrenn was ontop of it as usual. She wouldn't let hers go without, and the second the black ever complained Ayrenn did her best to fix whatever ailed her. Today was no different, and the pair waded in the waters of the lake, soapsand in hand to begin the task that was giving this dragon a good scrub down.
Junwingth had waded out into the waters, all of her body submerged, leaving just her head out of the water, she breathed out, sending droplets of water through the air around her. The cool lake waters were soothing on her hide, warm from the suns as she'd been sunbathing prior to making their way down here.
Ayrenn beckoned the black closer, giving her a pat before beginning the task that was bathing a full sized dragon. Yanno, this was so much easier when you were little. The lass mused to her dragon, scrubbing her neck and shoulders carefully before moving on to her body. [smear:666666]Of course it was, dearheart, I've grown a lot in two turns.[/smear:666666] The black responded, tilting her head to view her rider as she moved down the muscle of her torso. I'm not complaining, you grew well in those turns. This just takes much longer now. [smear:666666]My hide feels better already, so the task is worth the time.[/smear:555555] Junwingth responded with a contented rumble. She was right, the task was worth the time it took, while the black was not a sparkle butted gold or a bright fancy color, she was lovely with a fresh wash and oil. Ayrenn took her time cleansing the blacks hide, trying not to completely soak her clothing.
