Kalitar watched the smile fade briefly and return. He didn’t have the slightest clue as to why, though, and so with a mental shrug he filed it away to be analyzed later if needed (a trick that he’d learned from Lord Famoran, and was consequently proud of).
Kalitar groaned, but his eyes revealed that he was well and truly enjoying himself. “In that case, Raaiz, I might have to keep you company,” he said.
The swimming was actually rather relaxing, despite Kalitar’s lack of experience swimming in the ocean, for he had more than enough energy to continue to play in the water for some time. He was looking forward to swimming until he could barely move; he enjoyed the way he felt after exercising until his energy was much reduced. However, it was unusual for him to successfully accomplish any such thing, owing to what Lord Famoran had once called his “boundless supply of energy”.
There were however, always more ways to add fun. “Water tag?” Kalitar asked Raaiz, sliding his cupped hand in front of his chest, palm out, a position that could send a ribbon of water quite some distance, at least in a lake. Kalitar had no idea how it would work in the ocean, but he was having far too much fun to be worried — after all, if it didn’t work, there were always more ways to splash someone.
