//Candidate Barracks//
((More people are welcome to join in!))
Dandzael lay on his back on his bed in his room in the Candidate Barracks, his hands behind his dark-haired head. His black flitter, Andi, lay curled up on his chest. He wondered when Dalziel would show up and what he would want to do. Dalziel had always been more outgoing than his brother.
Some people couldn't tell the boys apart by looking at them. They were nearly identical twins, though, so, he supposed, it was to be expected. However, if anyone really knew them, they would notice the difference in the concentration of their freckles and the differences in their hair color. As well as their expressions and the way they looked out at the world.
It was true. Dandzael and Dalziel were very different in personality and how they approached problems, including arguments and confrontations. Dandzael had more of a temper whereas his brother would be more irritated than angry.
Dandzael looked around to see if his brother's cat, Pounce, was there. But he was sure that Pounce would probably be wherever his brother was causing mischief.
Dandzael sighed and sat up, stretching. Well. He might as well go look for him. Besides being his twin, Dalziel was his closest friend in teh world. Despite how different they could be.
Dandzael pulled on his shoes and straightened his shirt before standing to his feet. He was tall and thin and his very short-cropped brown hair which had an ever present cowlick in the back which Dandzael tried to ignore, though he found it rather difficult. Sometimes he was certain that people would just stare at it and that made him a little bit self-conscious at times.
Dandzael stepped outside the door, his upset Andi chittering at him for waking her. Dandzael gave a small half smile and kept moving, ignoring the flitter.
