The large, grassy fields are where herdbeasts graze and crops are grown. It is bordered on the south by the valley wall and jungle on the other sides. The jungles in the farthest east part of the valley are still wild. The tangle of green and vines closer to the Weyr Bowl is considerably safer, at least from wild animals.
