Name: K’rec (Originally Kajarec)
Pronunciation: Kuh-reck
Age: 16
Gender: Male
Weyrmate: None
Rank: RMW Weyrling
Personality: Kajarec is rather… different. His moods are constantly shifting, but rarely without warning. He is very sensitive and finds it hard to get along with other people. His mannerisms are often nervous, flighty, or jumpy… though not always… Kajarec is very in tune with others and can be a very reassuring and loving individual. He rarely thinks of himself and is always trying not to be a burden. He looks out for others and can be a strong personage at times, but only when others really need it. Otherwise, Kajarec really is just an over sensitive young man who needs someone to depend on him. He really isn’t that bad when you get to know him.
Appearance: Kajarec, admittedly, looks a little sickly. He is far too pale for anyone born on the Southern Continent and is rather thin… well, more than rather thin. He appears frail, very frail indeed. However frail he may be, he has a beauty about him, albeit one that is more feminine in the fine graceful bones, but that is not a deterrent to him. He is always being teased for it. However, he pays them no heed as it makes no difference what others say. His hair is of the palest blond, only barely holding color. His eyes are a lovely green color that can capture the imagination of those who look into them. He dresses in the normal fashion for someone from the Southern Continent. He is a lot stronger than he appears, but, then, he doesn’t appear that strong to begin with… Kajarec is nothing like what people thinks of him.
History: When Kajarec was born, he was suffering from an ailment that could have caused his death. He, somehow, against all odds, survived. It was a good thing he did. A very good thing indeed. He is the only boy in a family consisting of 7 girls and their parents. He was truly and answer to sincerest hopes. As much as he was treasured, his first eight years of life were a trial. Each day was another day of torment for him and his parents, never knowing if he would truly make it or not. His sisters spent little time with him, but that was partially the fault of their parents who were overly worried about him. He was never truly permitted to spend much time with others, even as he became well at the end of his eighth Turn. He grew stronger over the next few Turns until he was about as healthy as any other child… but FAR thinner and more fragile looking… but he never let it stop him. He found ways to play and have fun as he wished, roaming wherever he could, sometimes being able to sneak out with his oldest sister who understood his need to have some kind of childhood… but that all left when his parents died and she became responsible for not only her own children, but also her youngest siblings, including him. She couldn’t take him out anymore… She couldn’t help him be the boy he was meant to be… So at the age of ten Turns, he was as lost as ever. He didn’t know how to cope with his nieces and nephews, his sister’s children… (He had no uncle’s or aunt’s nearby since his family had not always lived at the particular Hold he had been raised at), being put into the large family was a shock since he had had little to no experience with such things… but beside his nervous tendencies, he turned out to be a good and protecting addition to the family, not to mention, very responsible.
Kajarec impressed during Illlyrmiath’s first hatching to a little white named Torrenth. The two seemed to fit pretty well. They are both rather quiet and withdrawn. He has found it decidedly difficult to make new friends amongst the populace of Rainbow Mists Weyr, simply because of his nature.
