Appearance: Brown hair and soft grey eyes copliment each other perfectly. His skin is of a deep tone that is a result of his traveling. He has scars over his face, back, arms, hands, and legs. His hands are missing four fingers between them. His thumb and middle on his right hand and his little finger and ring finger on his left hand. He will never be seen without Gariat on his shoulder and a dagger strapped at his waist
Personality: Z'ek is a loner. He's been alone since the death of his dragon until he found Gariat. This doesn't dominate his personality, however. Z'ek is kind and gentle despite his rough appearance. He knows how to sooth a child's dears or how to calm an aggitated animal. This gentleness is overshadowed by the watchful, wary look he often has.
History: Z'ek grew up in a hold north of RMW. He was searched at fifteen turns and impressed at seventeen turns to Bronze Paratith. Two and a half turns later they went down during Threadfall. Thread was headed straight towards them and hit Paratith before he had the chance to pass between to avoide it. The pain of the thread score caused Paratith to fall towards the ground. Z'ek fell from his neck only moments before Paratith passed between for the final time. As he fell he hit a patch of thread that had been missed by the higher altitude wings. He was caught by another rider and taken between to kill the thread. The rider took him straight to the infirmary of the nearest Weyr. After being nursed back to health Z'ek tried to kill himself several times. Losing Paratith was the hardest thing Z'ek had ever had to cope with. It wasn't until he found Gariat being torn up by a feline and rescued the bronze flitt that he was able to move on. It was two turns after the accident that this happened. At that point was when he began traveling and offering what wisdom he could to weyrlings and candidates classes.
It happened that he was at Rainbow Mists when Wood Illyrmiath's clutch hatched. He watched the young dragons Impress to the candidates. While a sadness lingered in his heart for his loss of Paratith, he was glad for these new weyrlings and longed the bond he'd once known. During the hatching his attention was drawn by a young midnight who was so scared of the light that he seemed he would go between before he stepped in the it to find his rider. He did Impress, though, to Z'ek.
Since then Z'ek has been experiencing Weyrlinghood all over again. Lessons and chores and everything else that comes with being a new rider.. or in his case a rider again.
Drawn to the firelizard hatching when he went to get lunch, Z'ek watched on with worry for one small egg and much amusement when it hatched. He Impressed a purple, wood and a small white from Rainbow Marmee's clutch and quickly adapted their care and training to his routines.
