Personality: S'ar is silent and kept to himself. Since the accident that caused him to become deaf he's seemed distant. The only one that can talk to him with any decent response is his dragon. He can often be found carving away at a piece of wood in a quiet part of the weyr or working Courth too hard through strenuous training exercises. Most people think of him as unapprochable and consider him to basically be a shadow of the weyr. The few who can break through his shell and get to know the real him see that he is actually kindhearted and sensitive.
Appearance:S'ar has dark ebony hair that reaches near the center of his back. His eyes are a sharp blue that seem to penetrate your very soul when he looks at you, though they are sometimes clouded with the old wild look. He stands about 6'1" and can appear rather intimidating. Scars cover his body, some from the 'accident', some from before. One that stretches from his right ear down his neck and to his collarbone seems to indicate what caused his deafness, but one would be wrong if they guessed this.
History: S'ar was born and raised in a small hold. He was searched at 14 and impressed soon after he turned 15. His personality was not always so withdrawn. S'ar used be outgoing and go-lucky sort of guy. He was dependable enough and trained his dragon only as hard as needed, but above all else, he was loyal. That is the one trait that still remains, he is loyal. He'd never betray Rainbow Mists or anyone in it unless that someone intended harm.
Then the accident happened. S'ar and Courth emerged from between above Dark Mists Weyr. They were only joy riding and S'ar sent Courth the first image that came to his mind. He was sure they were high enough that nothing would happen, but with in moments of coming out of between they were attacked, though by what it was too hard to tell. All they could do was fight back and hope to live. In one final, desperate attempt to free them, Courth shot rapidly into the air, going as high as he could and then passing between. They were barely alive when Courth crashlanded back in his home Weyr. With the sudden change in altittude S'ar's eardrums had burst, leaving him deaf. He was a mere shadow of what he had been and eventually transfered to Rainbow Mists Weyr if only to try for a new start.
He was drawn to a firelizard hatching, though he'd had no real interest in them, when one had hatched different from the others. The small green had dull eyes instead of the brightly swirling eyes that the others sported. He hadn't intended on Impressing, but those who were different must help each other. He ended up taking the green from the kitchens with him that day and naming her Fiora.

Dragon's Personality: Much like his Rider, Courth has become withdrawn to an extent. However, Courth does try to be friendly with others. He'll initiate a conversation despite his rider's protests.
Dragon's Appearance: Courth is a deep blue color, almost dark royal blue. His wing -sails are a shade lighter. The scars that cover his body have an intimidating appearance. They are almost white against his hide.

Other: S'ar will often remain silent merely because he is uncomfortable speaking outloud when he can no longer hear himself
