((I wrote this last night after I got back from a volleyball game. I heard some girls talking about me at the back of the bus, which inspired me to write this. Feel free to comment.))
I heard you talking
On the back of the bus.
You think you know me.
But you don't. Not really.
If you've got a problem with me
Say it to me straight.
Don't make me get it
From other people.
Tell me the full story.
I knew from the start
We would only just get along.
Friendship between us
Could never really happen.
We're just too different,
The two of us, you and I.
But never did I expect this.
Can you not even tolerate me?
A single season,
Then I'm done.
It's not that long.
Can't you let it be?
Or is it too much to ask?
For you to leave me be
And put all your effort
Toward the team?
I never really wanted
To get to know you.
I could tell right away
That it was the wrong crowd for me.
Makeup, dressing up...
I just don't care.
If I could, I would
Leave the team to them.
But as it stands
I need to do this.
Life's full enough already.
Don't add yourself to the mess.
I haven't given up.
Not quite yet.
I don't want to go.
I want to live longer.
Just don't push me too far
Past the point of no return.
It hasn't happened yet,
But do you really want
The life of a person
Hanging over you forever?
Everyone you talk about.
Each person you make fun of.
Every one of them feels pain.
One of them might end up
On the other side
of the River Styx.
All because of the words you said
On the back of the bus.
I don't want this.
I wanted at least neutrality.
Whether you like me or not
Please...
Tell it to me straight.
I heard you talking
On the back of the bus.
It was the last straw.
I can't go on.
Are you happy now?
I'm out of your life.
That's what you wanted.
Right?
I'm out of your life
And everyone else's.
Forever.
I've surrendered myself.
There was so much
I still wanted to do.
But with your words
Binding my heart
I was blind to the truth.
What will you do
Now that I'm gone?
Live with the weight
Of your words on your hands?
Or continue as before?
As if I'd never been there?
It's nearly graduation.
I never saw it.
Will you ever learn?
I heard you talking
On the back of the bus.
You think you know me.
But you don't. Not really.
If you've got a problem with me
Say it to me straight.
