Alright, so I had the idea to set up a betting pool for the Flight and the Clutch. How this will work is that if you have a character that would be likely to bet they can make a bet with a mark or two (your ooc marks) on who will win the flight, if there will be a queen and maybe what color that queen will be.
Dyranor Vrishna, the visiting representative of the Vrishna Clan will be orchestrating the betting. He charges 1 Mark to place bets HOWEVER this Mark will not come out of your account. Keep in mind you can only bet as many Marks as you have in your account.
Of course you do not have to use a character and can keep this strictly OoC if you wish. The result would be as follows.
Saddyris bet 1 mark that there would be one Queen in the clutch.
If there are no Queens she then looses the Mark and I can use that ICly in a thread.
If you place a bet and you loose, you loose whatever you bet and it will be deducted from your account. Remember this is of your free will that you are doing this.
However, if you happen to win, however many marks are in that pot will be split equally amongst the winners.
Feel free to bet in as many of the categories as you wish.
Keep in mind that your bets must be realistic to your character. A Drudge would not have 50 Marks to drop on a bet. Likewise a Dragonrider without a trade is unlikely to have much spending money of their own as everything they truly need is supplied by the Weyr. If you can explain how a Drudge came by a Lord's ransom, however, go for it.
