Talithia felt the branch beneath her, testing the next with her foot. It was sturdy enough. She could feel Maetioth's irritated tail wagging as if it was her own and it was very distracting. She wasn't as good as some people were at this - not that she really knew of them, of course... but it was true enough.
She lost her footing and started to fall only to feel none-to-gentle claws wrap around her and prevent her from hitting the ground.
"You're good for something after all!"
The dragoness snorted and dropped her from a safe distance. Tal gave an "oof" as the air was knocked from her lungs and she sputtered for a mintue as she attempted to regain her breath... Soon she was breathing normally, but labored as the breath started to rush back into her lungs.
Maetioth just seemed to rumble with laughter - knowing that her rider wasn't truly hurt. Well... not bad, anyways. she'd recover in a few minutes and be just fine.
Tal was on her feet within moments of regaining her breath, though she felt a little light headed and dizzy. MAE!
The dragon simply chortled louder. You deserved it!
Talithia crossed her arms, ready to fight with the big beast.
The pair walked along the river, a girl and her dragon. But the Hatchling was so small still that the girl could easily carry the White in her arms. They stopped by a tree a few feet away from the woman and her large dragon.
"Angeth, you'll be able to soar through the clouds soon enough," Kokoro told the tiny creature.
I wish I could fly now, Angeth replied with a mental sigh. I wish I could get big fast. I'm so small. I want to be big.
Kokoro laughed softly. "Size comes with age," she reminded the hatchling dragoness again. Or, not so hatchling. A sevenday had passed since the Hatching already. Suddenly, Angeth turned, her stance defensive. Kokoro quickly turned, then saw theother two. It's alright Angeth, she told the dragon silently.
"Sorry about that," Kokoro said to the woman. "Angeth only hatched recently. I don't think we've met before. I'm Kokoro." She smiled slightly.
