Name: Leetah
Pronunciation: Lee-TUH
Gender: Female
Age: 20
Turnday: 3054.10.12
Weyr: Rainbow Mists Weyr
Rank: Dragon Candidate
Family: Teran (Father) and Veelah (Mother)
Friends: N/A
Pets: N/A
Appearance: Leetah has black hair and dark brown eyes. She has slightly tanned skin and stands at 5'5. Her normal weight is 136 lbs. Her black hair is usually tied back in a ponytail, but at other times it is down around her face in a curtain of curls. Leetah has a slightly willow frame with a skinny body. Her dark eyes are bright with life.
Her clothes consist of a white shirt and tan pants. Her hands are slightly calloused from work as an apprentice beastcrafter. Leetah wears leather shoes that help protect her feet from rocky ground. Her muscles are hardened from the honest work that she has done.
Personality:
Leadership: Leetah is a leader. She can make decisions like the best of them. The decisions she makes is for the good of the whole. She thinks about everyone, not just herself. She makes ideas that will help others, she takes charge when others bicker on who should lead, and she makes sure everyone is helped before she takes care of herself. There is a downside. When a decision is put forth to her like to save one friend or another she has to make a difficult choice between the two. Sometimes taking leadership takes a toll and she will lash out.
Patient: Leetah is normally patient and its hard to get her angry. Leetah can sit through other people screaming and shouting to let them get the anger out of their system, but she isn't without anger herself. As stated before it just takes alot to get her angry.
Reserved: Leetah doesn't make easy friends. To her friends need to be cherished and lifelong. Rushing into something like this will cause breakable relationships and anger all the way around. She has done this once and her heart felt like it broke into many pieces. Making friends is hard for her and so she takes more care in selecting them than before.
Peaceful: Leetah is not big on fighting. She'll fight when absolutely necessary, but for something as pointless bloodshed she turns away from. Even as a leader, Leetah has to make the choice of choosing which fights to fight and what not. Some fights are better left alone and some are a necessity. Leetah will fight for her Weyr and her family, but she will not fight for a guy.
Independent: Overall romance isn't something Leetah looks for. She may flash a smile to a guy and giggle at something funny he said, but she won't actively go out to look for a guy to be ivolved with. Number one its extremely distracting and number two she just feels that a relationship of that kind is a negative decision. Leetah has no problem with males, she just can't stand them most of the time. Now having a male as a friend is another matter entirely.
Leetah also makes her own decisions. She know what is right for her and what isn't right. She knows what boundries she needs to set and keep and what not to break. She is very independant and she makes sure to show it. Sometimes though her independence makes it look like she is rebeling which is most certainly not the case. Leetah also doesn't ask for help from others if its a task that she can do alone. However, if the task requires two or more people she will never hesitate to ask.
Bossy: When Leetah is in her element she can be pretty bossy. Going to far causes her to start ordering others around and getting pretty snippy with them. This is another negative aspect of being a leader. While in leader mode Leetah will end up telling people what to do and how to do it. Be warned she is an almost entirely different person when this happens and is surprised at herself for being bossy.
Obediant: Normally Leetah follows the rules, but she has been known on occasion to overstep the line and break a rule. Some rules she feels are strictly necessary for certain things, like no romance as a Candidate and as a Weyrling, but some she finds rather useless. For example if she was told to not go wandering she would do the opposite and wander. Leetah knows what boundries to push and which ones are better left alone. This makes for good relationships, when they happen, and for a healthy life.
Talkative: Once Leetah has known someone enough to give them a bit of trust she starts talking. Once she does its hard to get her stopped. Leetah can't help it as she got this aspect from her mother while growing up. Talking tends to turn to gossip. The talking gets Leetah into trouble most of the time. No matter how hard Leetah tries to talk only when strictly necessary she ends up breaking that and just rambling on and on.
Fears
1.) Fire: Leetah fears fire more than she fears Thread. For some reason this element is best left far from her as she gets rather clumsy around it. When she gets clumsy with fire then things start burning. Leetah doesn't do this on purpose, its just something she has always known. Leetah is even unsure as to WHY she's afraid of fire more than Thread.
2.) Thread: Like most others, Leetah does fear Thread. She knows that the searing silver stuff can kill anything almost on contact. She fears she may be in the wrong place at the wrong time with no hope of survival. She's even had a few nightmares about this with her waking up in cold sweats, but not yet screaming. Leetah wants to do everything in her power to get over this fear if she is to be of any help whenever Thread falls again.
3.) Being alone: Leetah doesn't scream "be my friend," but she doesn't like to be alone. Alone as in lost in the wilderness with no hope of rescue or any kind of creature around that she can get help from. Leetah finds that being alone away from civilization to be rather frightening. What would happen if no one found her? What would she do all alone in the wild? Why can't she find her way?
4.) Overactive Imagination: Sure its great to have an imagination, but at times when she is tired or stressed her imagination gets the better of her. She can be alone in a room at dark and think she hears strange noises or she could be taking a swim to try and relax and she could probably hear the munching of a meat eating creature. When her imagination is in overdrive its hard for her to get out of it without something cold to wash away her fears.
History: Leetah was born to Teran and Veelah. She grew up at Keroon Hold. When the girl was little she had always been interested in joining as some kind of useful skill. She found out at an early age that she had some skill as a Beastcrafter. When she was 12 Turns old, Leetah was sent off to where the other apprentices were sent off to.
Once she was there she trained in the ways as an apprentice beastcrafter like a couple of the other apprentices. The girl learned many things like how to care for the animals, how to stand guard correctly, and many other useful skills. As each Turn passed, Leetah watched as some of the other apprentices were Searched. The girl knew that they were going to Igen Weyr.
Leetah slowly began to envy the other apprentices for being Searched and she being left behind. At 16 Turns old Leetah began to wonder if she was not going to be Searched. The girl wanted to prove her worth and try to prove that she was just as good as them, but her duties rarely allowed her that oppertunity.
Several sevendays later another band of Searchriders came. Leetah was busy with the animals, but when her instructor came to get her Leetah began to wonder what was going on. She cleaned herself off a little bit and followed behind the Journeyman Beastcrafter. Leetah soon saw the Dragonriders and knew from experience that they were either very new or belonged to a Weyr that had not yet Searched here yet. It was explained that she would be going to Igen Weyr if she was Searched.
One of the Dragonriders nodded as if she was the one. Confused, Leetah stepped forward and was helped onto one of the Dragons. Two other apprentices had been Searched and there was four others that were from Holds that were around the Hall. The Dragons took to the sky and disappeared Between. When Leetah could breath again she found that she was not a Weyr that she recognized. The girl looked at the Dragonrider who explained that they were at Rainbow Mists Weyr.
