Name: Garna Bendenborn
Pronunciation: Gar - na
Gender: Female
Age: 19
Turnday: 12.22 of turn 3055
Weyr: Ice Stone Weyr
Rank: Citrine Weyrling
Family: Galna - Mother
Rarolk - Father
Ragnar - Brother
Friends: None of note
Pets: None
Appearance: Garna is very tall for a girl, standing at a whopping 5'11". She is not too lean though. A nice layer of muscle covers her body, not too much but enough that she doesn't look scrawny. Her skin is naturally light in color but has tanned slightly from an excess of time spent out in the sun. High cheekbones and a strong jawline are some of the most noticeable features on her face. Her eyes, dark brown in color, often have dark rings around them and seem to do their best to blend in to her face. Most of the time she keeps her long dark brown hair pulled into a runnertail so it won't get in her face or snarl very easily.
Personality: Garna wants to be a leader. Everyone should obey her without question, they should immediately realize that she is the dominant one in the situation. However, she cannot completely grasp what being a leader means. The thought of helping those she 'rules' or working for the good of the Weyr in general never crossed her mind. No, it is all about her. What she wants, what will make her look better, how to make sure nobody ever stands in her way. Along with this her main way of trying to make sure she gets control or remains in control is threatening others. In her mind kindness is a weakness, it will truly get you nowhere. If someone does she deems as good she might try to reward them. Maybe, if she feels like it. And if they upset her or let her down? She will set into them ruthlessly, trying to make their life as unpleasant as possible.
She can be very manipulative at times, lying to people, threatening them, and twisting the truth in all sorts of ways to make sure everything turns out just the way she wants it. Secret keeping is something she adores, there's something about knowing something that no one else does that gives her a thrill. But there is something that she is very open about. Garna is a very traditionalist girl and does not care to hide it. Her opinions will be broadcast to anyone that might be able to hear, not to mention that she will try her best to force her opinions on others.
When it comes to her emotions Garna is a bit of a loose canon. At times she can hide things and try her best to make sure she is completely in control. After all, you can't control others if you aren't in control of yourself. But sometimes it will be a little too much and she will snap. This mostly occurs when concerning something very close to her. She will lash out, screaming, hitting, and all in all acting unreasonable. The most noteworthy example of this is when Tralok turned her down and her emotional aggression turned to physical.
History: The first born of her little family in Benden Hold Garna always seemed to be up to something. Most often that something included getting into trouble, be it for either her or her brother. Oh yes, she had a brother. Born a turn after her the girl always liked her younger sibling and couldn't help but feel a little protective of him. However, she would be more than protective. She would make sure that he was put to good use doing something that would benefit her. From the time she was able to plan and plot she began to get to work turning Ragnar into the perfect follower. Give him orders, reward him when he did good and find some way to punish him when he messed up. It work like a charm and gave her that first taste of power that she would later grow to love.
Galna and Rarolk were always a very traditionalist couple, teaching their children about the old ways. Garna soaked this information up like a sponge and soon enough began to mimic their words. It was gradual at first, the belief that only women should ride queens and and only men kings. But this soon enough turned to men only riding male dragons and women only riding female, anything else would make you a freak of nature. Along with this she came to hate the 'mutant' colors, anything but the original five. She made sure absolutely everyone knew what she thought, causing several fights, although she never resorted to physical blows.
By the time she was fourteen she decided she wanted power, control over more than just her weak-minded brother. She began to try and manipulate people by any means necessary to get them to do her biding. Blackmail, bribes, charm, and plain old threats. Soon enough she had a small group of people her age who would do as she asked, people she referred to as followers or grunts in her head. One of these followers was a young man named Tralok she met when she was fifteen. He proved himself to be smart, tricky, and worth her time. As a result she started spending more and more time with him and began to grow closer. Eventually she began to feel physical attraction to him, the first time she felt it in a way that was even close to strong. She admitted her feelings to him only for him to laugh in her face, say that while she was nice he was out of her league. That made something snap inside her. She began to get into fights, physical as well as verbal. Quite a few of her followers were yelled at and abandoned her out of fear for her safety. After a while it was just her and her brother once again.
Eventually her parents moved the family to Cliffside Hold in an attempt to make a new start, escape the reputation their daughter was gaining them. Yet Garna failed to change her behavior, acting very similar to how she did at the hold only with more violence and anger and less manipulation. She failed to find friends in the hold, plenty of people coming to view her as a brutish bully and her brother as nothing more than a servant. But she didn't care, as long as they feared her it was fine.
Soon after turning nineteen turns old a rider and dragon arrived at the hold, looking for potential candidates. Upon receiving the offer to stand Garna agreed for both her and her brother, absorbed in the idea of riding a mighty dragon, being feared and respected by all. Everyone would obey her then, those traitors that left her at Benden would regret it. Sure there were lots of mutants but surely none of those freaks would choose her.
Name: Soutath (Like south, otherwise phonetic)
Hue: Citrine (FFFF99)
Personality: Soutath doesn't mean to be difficult, she just simply is. Not a hindrance, per-se, her dented egg has caused her to be born just a wee bit off. While a Citrine normally enjoys tasting things often, Soutath generally loves tasting everything that she misassociates as food, and is a generally slow learner when being taught, preferring instead for a more hands- or mouth- on approach to things. Her temper was not effected, however, still being a bit of a hot-head though often times her temper is sparked from a reason that doesn't make sense to anybody but her. Thinking differently, she will go through life with an outside-the-box approach, and in regards to her Mine, might humble them more when they realize she is just as capable as any other dragon.
Description: The hide of this particular Citrine is solid and defined, a bright, vivid off-yellow, with a lighter undertone to her belly. She has big, adorable eyes that are more often than not mismatched in color when her emotions are wandering, denoting her oddity more so than any other feature about her. She can, at times, seem unfocused on what she is looking at, as though staring right through it. She is of average height and length for her color.
