Appearance: Ch'ara has the same blonde hair as his older sister, and the same bright green eyes. His skin is on the paler side, though he has never fallen seriously ill. He is average build, at 5 foot 10, and is well-toned from working with the other carpenters.
Due to the Hatching when he was eighteen, he has multiple scars on his chest and upper arms. He does his best to hide them with longer sleeves, but is not always successful.
Personality: Ch'ara is a rather oblivious boy. He is kind, able to keep smiling no matter what happens to him. His belief is that you must embrace what happens, regardless of who you are. He believes that everything will work out somehow, and that hope is what keeps him smiling.
Ch'ara truly loves his sister, though he hasn't spent all that much time with her because of their age difference. He wants to make her proud to be his sister.
He is surprisingly strong. Ch'ara does his best to keep any pain he is feeling from showing on his face, even if it's obvious that he should be hurting. He doesn't like to make others worry, even though he knows his elder sister often does so.
He loves his work as a carpenter, often doing the detail work on some of the more elaborate pieces of furniture he helps make.
History: Chiara was born about 8 months after Yuki's kidnapping experience, though he has no knowledge of it. He was a normal child, playing with other Holdborn children his age. Yuichi and Kiara were stricter in raisin him, not wanting him to get kidnapped the way his sister had. Nothing of the sort happened, however, and he remained blissfully ignorant to the full dangers of the world.
Chiara was only four Turns when his sister was Searched, only Six when she Impressed. However, not long after her Impression, it was decided that he should go to the Wood Hall to study under the Carvers there. He left the Hold when he was eight, spending much time simply watching the other apprentices. He became an Apprentice at twelve, and went to the Weyr on delivery when he was thirteen. He was Searched upon arrival at Ice Stone Weyr, and became a Candidate.
He spent little time with his sister, though he did see her frequently around the Weyr. Once she Impressed, he saw her watching the Hatchings from the Stands, watching him, and he desired to Impress to a dragon the way she had.
He was 18 when the now dubbed Cursed Clutch Hatched, and the Aurora hatchling mauled him close to death.
The next Hatching, when he was nineteen, that he Impressed to a lovely, lighter colored Brown named Velageth.

Personality: Velagath appreciates having time to relax. He’ll doze off anywhere given the chance, and often will do so if he isn’t pressed to do anything. However, he won’t drag his feet when there are things to be done, and when he is awake tends to be quite impulsive. He doesn’t mind jumping right into action or jumping to conclusions on the spur of the moment. However, when he gets it wrong, he is the first to apologize and make things right. Velageth is a naturally warm individual, always there with a spot of encouragement or advice. He just needs to make sure that he isn’t overbearing and he will make a wonderful companion.
