Appearance: Sei’a stands around six feet tall, with a lithe body and a pretty-boy face that could attract followers… if it didn’t always look angry. His fierce look is nearly perpetual – black eyebrows furrowed, lips pursed, blue eyes in a hard glare and shoulders tensed for action at any moment. He has messy black hair cropped short in the front and pulled into a long ponytail in the back and has pale skin from a life always lived in the north, and is in excellent shape from constant hand-to-hand sparring matches with his friends back at Sky Mountain Weyr.
Personality: Egotistical. Physical. Pessimistic. Three words that describe Sei’a perfectly. While he had not always been this way, tensions involving Benden and his family’s hold create a constant sense of worry in him for those he had left behind. This worry eats away at him, fueling his emotions to make him rash at times, and tense almost constantly, thinking on perceived failures.
He had always been one to share his strong opinions, and back them with physical skills and prowess; if he thinks something wrong, he voices it, keeps to his opinions stubbornly, and defends his views physically if need be.
If one would compare Sei’a to an animal, it would be a Doberman; fierce, threatening, and with a bite worthy of its bark.
History: Every since Seiterya Kour was little he wanted to be a dragon rider. He soaked up the ancient stories told by harpers and played at being a Rider, always a hero, swooping in with his imaginary dragon to save damsels in distress and help holderfolk from terrifying evils. He felt it was his destiny to ride and rescue, to lead and protect all of Pern. Just after his 13th Turnday, Seiterya’s dream came true when a SearchRider from Sky Mountain Weyr visited his home and took him back to stand on the sands for Sr. Weyrwoman Vera's gold dragon, Amorath's, hatching. He impressed immediately – the first of the bunch – to Lasereth, a brilliant bronze hatchling. The two took to each other immediately.
During his Weyrling days, he quickly befriended hatchmates Y’ten and crimson Haleth, and T’ki and Midnight Maketh. The three of them were inseparable, training and learning together, competing amongst each other, both joining in on his dreams of grandeur. While they were sorted into different Wings at first, they stuck together still at mealtimes and tried to draw similar jobs.
As he grew, so did tensions with Benden Weyr, and it was not long before Sei’a’s bright outlook began to darken. With both parents and sister left in his home hold under Benden’s jurisdiction, he constantly worried about their safety, wondering pessimistically what searchriders or outriders for Benden with a nasty streak might do to his family if he or she found out their son was on the other side.
At those times, only a new transfer rider from a Southern Weyr, Mina and starlight Venuth, and his two friends who constantly reassured him of his family’s safety, were able to cheer him up. Venuth’s first flight made a pair of Y’ten and Mina, with Haleth catching Venuth; however, with the closeness to Benden, and Venuth’s new transfer status, the Weyrleaders of Sky Mountain had asked that the pair use firestone when she first arrived so the starlight would not clutch. Mina and Venuth had agreed, (a decision Sei'a agreed with) and so the flight did not end with a clutch.
Years passed, Lasereth flew and caught, but Sei’a never really connected with any of the women. When word came that Ice Stone Weyr’s Ice Queen would rise, Sky Mountain sent him and Lasereth, along with two candidates, up to fly and stand, respectively. While he leaves to fulfill his Weyrleader’s bidding, his feelings about which dragons should and should not clutch, and the strangeness of a silverlight “queen” dragon choosing a male rider, ride heavily on his mind.

Dragon's Name: Lasereth (LAY-sir-eth)
Dragon’s Gender: Male
Dragon's Age: 13 turns
Dragon's Color: Bronze ((b8860b))
Dragon's Appearance: Lasereth’s hide is a darker bronze and he is in the average range for a dragon of his color – around 38 feet in body length, nearly 127 feet from nose to tail tips, and has an impressive wingspan of 211 feet.
Dragon's Personality: Lasereth is more a dragon of action than of words, a quiet presence that keeps his cool and, on occasion, acts as a voice of calm and reason to his often hardheaded, hotheaded rider. He gives wise council, gained though years of listening and reasoning rather than offering thoughtless words, and while his rider is the picture of an egotist, Lasereth knows the value in putting the self aside and analyzing the situation from different angles.
When he angers, it is a deep, brooding fire that never truly cools completely, the embers of past grievances still glowing in the recesses of his memory (he holds a grudge); however, it takes quite a monumental affront to anger the bronze, as he's rather easygoing.
Dragon's History: Lasereth was the first of his brothers and sisters to hatch, and he knew his match the moment his eyes found him, impressing immediately on the dreamy yet headstrong and determined youth. He grew up strong and just as determined, but quieter, like a shadow for the human voice of his rider. His life up until moving to Ice Stone Weyr was typical; he flew, he patrolled, he shared the concerns of his rider. And now that they are transferred to Ice Stone, those concerns are at the forefront of everything.
