75.09.10 | Morning | Edge of Weyrbowl
Lihios paused at the edge of the Weyrbowl. Mist still rolled along the ground as dewdrops glittered on the edge of leaves and grass. The droplets felt freezing cold to her. She squired uncomfortably when one such drop landed on her hand, shivering. But the Candidate didn't mind the chill after a moment. She'd seen far colder weather then this back home. Winter would arrive soon enough though. Lihios's blue eyes gazed up at the sky, watching as the colors turned from the pinks of dawns to the blues of morning. She breathed in deeply as she crossed her arms over her chest, beginning to stretch her body to help further wake up. She remembered doing these stretches under her fathers instruction.
The Candidates white garb wrapped around her, causing her to blend in with the fleeting mist from the knees down, well, aside from her brown leather boots. In the dim morning light her skin didn't look near as pale as it did in the sun. Despite what she had originally worried over that night, about not settling in well at the Weyr, she had slept rather well. Lihios had no actual knowledge if Candidates were allowed out of the Barracks this early or not, as it was just getting daylight and people were starting to bustle about. She assumed most likely not, but she was restless of the mornings. She couldn't just lay in bed and wait for everyone else to wake up.
Lihios was never one to lay and snooze around until a specific time unless she was sick, which didn't happen very often. While she did prefer her solitude, she didn't like being restless or without something to keep her busy. It just never sat well with her. Plus, this early hour allowed her to slowly grow used to the Weyr she now lived at. Though she was still wary of its occupants. Lihios figured the Dragons would be out to sun later in the morning, so she didn't worry too much about getting caught or reprimanded for being awake. Still, being outside was better then being cooped up in her room. There'd be plenty of time for that when winter came.
Lihios's eyes closed for a moment as her thoughts trailed back to High Reaches before they snapped back open. No, She'd made her choice, she would stick with it. Turning on her heel, the brown boot made a slight squeek against slick grass as she began walking back towards the Weyrbowl. Continuing to do minor stretches and exercises with her body, but being careful not to tire herself. She had a feeling she'd need the energy for the days chores and lessons. She still needed to learn her way around, she found out soon enough, as she paused upon considering making her way back to the barracks only to find she didn't exactly want to do so. But she did want to learn her way around the place more, if only she knew where she was going.
"Well...This is a bit of a sticky situation." She muttered more to herself then to anyone who might be listening. She seriously needed to get a map of this Weyr. Unlike High Reaches, where she had lived long enough to memorize the layout, she was new here, and she hadn't taken into consideration she might not yet know the layout of her new home for a few more sevendays. "Oh well....I'll figure it out sooner or later. Best time to explore I suppose."
Lihios had to laugh at that. She wasn't one to be pessimistic often, so she set off in a random direction, moving slowly around the Weyrbowl, in the hopes she wouldn't run into the Candidate Master. She half contemplated trying to find the kitchens and waiting there but decided against it. How she wished that she'd checked the Candidates chores list that morning. Still, she didn't see anyone around as of yet. That was probably a good thing as she Started to explore around the Weyrbowl a bit, and make a mental note for herself as to what was where. That was, until she moved to turn around and ran face first into someone else.
