75.10.26, evening
The Aurora and her rider appeared out of between, with Yuki clinging on for her life. Ayleneth's eyes whirled grey as she landed, and she realized something was wrong. Someone, help! she bugled loudly.
Yuki felt faint. Something warm was flowing down her legs... Blood... No... The baby! They had gone between and now she was losing her unborn child! But it was an effort to unbuckle the straps, and she ended up unable to stand. Her arms were around Ayleneth's neck, and her legs wouldn't support her. SHer vision began blurring, and she knew she was going to lose her baby.
Kiyosh looked up suddenly. She was waiting for Cr’wean to be done, so she could take them both back, but was now looking toward the Weyrbowl. The Lifewing flew over as quick as she could manage, spotting the distressed Aurora, with a very disoriented Rider on her back. She came closer to see what exactly was going on and suddenly saw blood. The bird’s head flew back and a sudden low, thick and loud note escaped her, like a wall of noise.
--
Cr’wean dropped the glass of water he was holding. His frown was replaced with a look of confusion, and he stood stock still. The man in bed looked surprised, and the other healers turned to look at him, wondering where the usual yelling that accompanied the man was. He felt a song begin, and it felt strong. A song that was trying to be a dam, for preventing things from slipping away, usually blood…
“Shards.” A couple of the healers perked up then. Cr’wean didn’t curse quietly. But the single word wasn’t more than conversational in tone. He spun and grabbed a nearby healer. “Check who is on duty, something has gone wrong. I got to find out where-“
“I’ll go with.” One of the other healers, stepped forward, picking up on the Lifewing rider’s mood instantly. Cr’wean nodded and they both moved briskly out of the healers quarters, leaving the other healers slightly shaken and the patient who Cr’wean had been with slightly baffled.
“I just wanted some water…”
--
Kiyosh was having a hard time balancing song with investigating what was going on. Her first priority was helping the rider, but she didn’t entirely know what exactly she was helping. The rider wasn’t in command of her senses though so there was only one person to ask, since she didn’t have time to weave an investigating song.
What happened? I need to know exactly. The Lifewing spoke directly to the Aurora, sounding serious while still focusing most of her energy on singing her song.

{It's my fault,} Ayleneh said quickly. {They were arguing, and I just wanted to get her out of the situation... What was the word she'd used? Anyway, the little one! She's losing the little one!} That was her best was of describing it.
Yuki was barely awake, but she still put a hand on her stomach.
Rising up from his resting position, Mosiliath sat up and began to stretch his legs and wings. He had finished his evening meal not too long ago, and had flown back to the Heights to sunbathe and digest his food. But judging by the height of the sun, and the present color of the sky, that had been a couple of candlemarks ago.
Apparently, he had fallen asleep. He gave a great, toothy yawn and flopped back down on his side. No matter. It was a good rest, and he figured no one would begrudge him a nap. The Tiger curled up on the cooling stone and peered down into the Bowl, eyes glinting in the fading light as he watched the small Riders and dragons mill about below. It was a quiet evening. Good. He lay his head down on his forelegs and sighed deep.
Someone, help!
The sudden, pleading bugle made his heart race. He knew whose voice that was. Mosiliath rose quickly, claws scrabbling against rock, and locked on to the familiar form of the young Aurora as she touched down in the Bowl. He flew down from the Heights without a second thought and landed close by her position. He trotted over to her side - and once he noticed the Lifewing - with a low, worried croon.
His nostrils flared wide as he breathed in; the scent of blood was rich and overpowering. But the Aurora appeared unharmed? What had happened? Minding his way around the large avian, it was then he noticed Yuki in her saddle. Oh no. Oh no, oh no, this was not good at all. He knew what had happened. The thought turned his stomach - what if it had been his hatchlings in the child's place?
He tried to meet the Aurora's eyes. Ayleneth, what can I do to help?
The Vulture went still, skipping a note. When she started again, she started singing a different, trilling tune. A song that was trying to be two songs at once. It was still low and thick, something that came naturally and colored her songs no matter what they would be for. Still, it was quite clear that this song was more complicated than the one before it. She had little time to acknowledge the Tiger that had come closer, since he was not in her way, and focused on the pair before her.
Do not blame yourself, more worry and stress will not make things better. Kiyosh was not going to get into a fight over what the Aurora may or may not have done. Facts were, riders and dragons minds were so linked that the mood of one affected the other, and more stress was not going to do the rider any good. Her song continued and she looked directly at Yuki, who was only barely conscious. Breathe dear. Still it looked like she was almost out, where on Pern was her-?
“Shards, Dendel, help me get her out.”
-lovely little rider.
Cr’wean recognized the song the moment he got close to the Bowl, and knew exactly what it meant. Patient was pregnant, now in danger of losing the baby. The two men grappled with the straps briefly, before they gently lowered her to the ground.
“Master Elgen should be up.” The Healer looked seriously at Cr’wean. Cr’wean nodded and spoke quickly.
“Good, I’ll get Kiyosh to wake up Elysh and Ithnish, between three we should be able to keep support up for long enough.” Both men took a deep breath and bent down. Together they lifted her up, taking great care with her head and moved her they had to get her inside and lying down. The Lifewing rider was thinking through half a dozen things right now, from making sure she was level, to what other Lifewings might be able to help. As it was he and the other Healers would be in a flurry to help the Rider as well as they could.
Kiyosh tailed to where her place would be, that was the closest area outside the healer’s quarters. She could project enough that she could help, and her complicated song didn’t drop (thank goodness) even when she reached out to the other Lifewings to get more help. This was extremely complicated, trying to help two lives that were so wrapped up in each other. She loved humans dearly, so she sang the best that she could. As she knew her Rider would do the best he could inside.
