She had seen the fight between Saphireth and Metanath... Seen Hocteth lunge at her friend... No... It had all been too much. The girl had insisted on being left alone, and it had been days since she'd ventured out of the furs, let alone out into the Weyr proper. Picosith was well worried now. She hadn't known the Cliffside WatchRider as well as Hers had, but she had spoken to the Black dragon a few times. If only she had known... No, if she had gotten involved, then she might've lost her life as well.
But still... She should've done something. Anything... At least then she wouldn't feel so guilty... But of course, she hated the thought of having to part with Tera. The girl was still so young... What would happen to Tera if anything happened to Picosith? Oh, she couldn't bear that thought, not now. It had only been days since Metanath and N'kio had been lost, after all.
Thankfully Saphireth and Hocteth were nowhere nearby right now. She couldn't deal with that. As far as she believed, those two and their riders were responsible for Tera's depression. And they were the cause of Metanath and N'kio's deaths. Even Tera's little Sunlace flit was sad in her place on Picosith's shoulder. The Sunlace was only just old enough to feed herself, which was good, but like the child didn't want to eat. They would both waste away at this rate...
But the Healers would tell Picosith what she already knew if they saw Hers. She was depressed, and that's all there was to it. Then again, maybe a Lifewing's Song could at least get Tera to eat again...
In truth, Picosith didn't know what to do, so she sought out one of the older dragons, one of the ones who might know. But who? She had thought about asking Ancalanth, but there was the high likelihood that he was busy. Mosiliath had also seemed to vanish, and it was hard for a Tiger of that size to go hide somewhere. But Picosith kept looking. She had to know. Tera was Hers, after all, and that was enough motivation for Picosith to get advice.
