Appearance: Transiit has shoulder length, wavy, brown hair. Her eye colour is just a plain, light blue, with slightly darker flecks along the outside of her iris. Her skin tone is slightly tanned, but will get burnt if she doesn't cover up properly. She has a voluptuous frame, but disguises it with tunics that are a bit too big for her size, and trousers with no discerning or flattering style so that she doesn't receive any unwanted attention from men. She stands slightly shorter than most women her age at about 5'2" and, by default, is shorter than most men she comes across, which annoys her greatly, because she hates being figuratively or literally looked down upon.
Personality: Transiit could generally be described as rude. However, there is much more to her than first impressions would suggest. She is incredibly protective of those who she believes deserves her respect and will stand behind them no matter what, however, no-one, no matter their age, will automatically gain her respect, they have to earn it, which has gotten her in trouble many times in the past. She will fight tooth and nail for what she believes in and Transiit will not hide her opinions telling it exactly how it is and sparing no gory details, which is why some may believe her rude.
Transiit believes that just because she is a woman, doesn't mean that she is any less than a man, and due to her father’s unfortunate disagreement with her outlook, it has lead to her having a wall up against any man who tries to get close to her, which has left her without much human company over her turns, as women find her personality too brash and men find her too cold.
History: Transiit grew up in High Reaches Hold, loving the climate, but hating the company. She had no siblings to relate to and a mother who doted upon her loud and obnoxious father’s every whim. Karoleen was not the sort of women that Transiit aspired to be, in fact she was just the opposite. From the time Transiit was old enough to go out and do things for herself she had done so, she had found herself an apprenticeship with the Beast Master. There she had spent her time, most of the daylight hours were spent with the animals she tended to. The boys who worked there tried to talk to her, tried to make friends. But memories of the sharp slaps in the night, when her mother dropped and plate and subsequently her father dropped his hand, always caused her to pull away from them. Only the Beast Master seemed to tolerate her, he didn't let her be rude to him and asserted his higher ranking position by proving to her why he was Beast Master, and why she was not, simply because he was skilled with his herd. He joked with her and allowed her to develop her sharp tongue, and gave as good as he got from the young woman.
However, Transiit always felt like she needed more. She knew she loved animals, but she would never be as skilled as some of the other boys, she just didn't have the innate understanding of the beasts as others did, despite her determination to try initially. It wasn't until she was 18 when she first saw the search riders, that she knew what she had to do. It surprised her greatly when she thought that she had never come across the search riders before, it wasn't as if they rarely came, every other time they had arrived, it seemed, she had been out in the fields tending to the animals, or her father had kept her inside making her do something that “women are obliged to do”. Maybe her father didn't want to lose her, or didn't want to lose any potential income he might have gotten for marrying her off to a slightly richer family, in any case, he had made sure she had never been able to come in contact with the search riders, until now.
Transiit didn't even go home, she headed straight to where the search riders landed. Surprisingly enough, as she neared the riders and blue dragon raised his head and stared at her, his eyes swirling slowly. One of the riders turned around and before she knew it, she had been told that she was going to the Weyr. In just a few hours, she had finally found a way to leave High Reaches Hold and was free of her father’s clutches.
Of course, her parents were not impressed when she returned home to pack a small sack of unimportant things to take with her. But she didn’t care, she took the screaming and the taunting, the threats that when she failed she wouldn’t be allowed to come back, but she was determined. She would not fail.
