| 76.06.26 | Afternoon | Weyr Bowl | @Serah
They were coming in towards the Bowl, a Blue and his Rider winding down from the sky. The cold air gave Holt shivers as they glided in the wide circle to drop altitude. He looked out at his home and watched it pass by. It truly was a sight from this far up.
Sometime later Korith's claws brushed the ground and in proper order they landed. Holt dropped to the ground, messages to Dragon Ridge delivered and returns in a satchel he grabbed from the back of Korith's saddle.
"Good work, today," he said with affection, giving the Blue a pat on the nose. Korith snorted, but Holt grinned. The warm air on his face was a welcome change no matter its source.
It was good flying with you today, as always.
"I'll be in to warm up and then we'll take the next destination. You need anything? Are you cold?"
You know I'm never cold.
"Still ask." Holt turned to march inside and warm up, grab a cup of klah and then head up and out again.
On the way to the kitchens to warm up, he noticed a young White and his Rider, wrapped up in weyrling work no doubt. Thank Faranth he was finally out of those politic ridden lectures. He brushed by them on the way in, though he vaguely recognized the girl and was left with the impression that she was nearly about to fall asleep. Perhaps she could use some klah as well.
He spent a good five minutes standing next to the klah kept on the hearth for Riders coming and going, and anyone else who wanted a cup. The warmth on his hands seeped in and replaced the cold. Having warmed himself enough to begin to consider going back outside, Holt refilled his mug and made another one to go with it and headed back out to the Bowl. Fortunately the girl hadn't moved. Perhaps she was asleep.
"You look like you could use some of this," Holt offered, holding out the mug of hot klah, watching the whitish steam rise into the air. Yes, she definitely looked familiar.
