Adoptable Characters
Please mind the original author's intent with characters who have an existing bio: however, characters develop, so they will grow and change over time. Adopted characters on accounts that become inactive will go back up for adoption if they are of considerable Rank or have been under a new role player's care for less than nine months.


Adopting Process:

1) Elaborate on or create information for a bio of the character or character pair.

2) Post a new character application in the Character Application board and if they had a previous bio, link it in your post.

3) Provide a several paragraph RP sample under your application section that showcases who that character is. Display what makes them an interesting and individual character.

Name: Zasth
Color: Brown
Personality: Zasth spends every spare moment relaxing. One might think that would make him extraordinarily lazy, but this Brown feels that his off time is well deserved. Frighteningly intelligent, Zasth can do his work efficiently, figuring out the exact amount of energy required for the desired outcome. His desire to keep work to a minimum results in a keen sense for shortcuts, and new more efficient ways of doing things. He doesn’t actually shirk work, but Zasth is pretty convinced that life is more than a series of tasks for he and his rider to do.

Name: Iloseth
Color: Brown
Personality: Iloseth is a reliable dragon. When he settles into a routine, he displays consistent results, enough that you can set your watch by them. Likewise when someone asks something of Iloseth, if he says he can do it, he will. Despite this reliability, this Brown is neither serious nor stuffy. He loves jokes, and is altogether more casual then one would expect, especially around Telgar. When he finds a dragon who is unhappy, he will try to cheer them up, going far for his friends.

Name: Riavath
Color: Green
Personality: Riavath wants to do everything RIGHT. A perfectionist to the core, everything must be just so. She can let go when it is something she has no control over, but when it comes to herself she practice for hours to get the smallest things right. Keenly observant, and with good control of her physical attributes, Riavath is something of a slippery creature. She almost never runs into anything on accident, having uncommon grace on both the ground and in the air.
Despite her desire for perfection, she has a soft spot for people who try their best. Though she acts standoffish at times, she always makes time for teaching others the tricks that come so easily for her. Though she will often act as though it is some grand favor.

Name: Piedoth
Color: Sunlance
Personality: Piedoth got the Sunlance protective nature in spades. Almost over protective, every little event is important, all dangers are considered. While not very big, Piedoth is lightning quick, and has a big wingspan for his color. Should he put his mind to it, he could get out of danger in a heartbeat. Don’t let the kind temperament and the occasional fretting over his rider fool you though. It might not be his first choice, but Piedoth will jump in to a fight if he has to.
A quick study, this Sunlance likes to spend his free time improving himself. Part of that is his desire to not be idle too long, but he mostly just wants to be ready for anything. The more danger he feels in the world, the more he will push himself. However, even if he dislikes being idle, hanging out with his rider never falls under that category. After all, even if it’s not ‘an event’, an evening chat is just as important.

Name: Omith
Color: Purple (m)
Personality: Like most of his color, Omith has energy. This energy tends to be used for getting into trouble. This dragon dislikes being contained. Rules that he doesn’t like are ignored, restrictions are horrible, and normal is boring. Yelling doesn’t work, Omith will only understand if explained calmly.
At his worst, Omith could be just a reckless dragon, and accidentally hurt those around him. At his best, Omith could innovate. Since he doesn’t like boundaries, he questions the foundations of the way things are, and that could lead him to answers where others don’t see problems. As to what he could grow into, well, that remains to be seen.

Name: Ignath
Color: Flame
Personality: Ignath runs into everything head first, no matter what it is. There are no half measures with this dragon, so he isn’t very subtle. He’s got a temper, but as for controlling it, well... he could use some work. He hates being insulted, and will probably have an easy time picking up strong language, because he will never forget when it is used against him. He has a hard time seeing middle ground, because of his nature, but he won’t be bullied or back down from something he wants. It’s far easier to get him to focus on something else with that single-mindedness rather than try to stop him, but if made clever enough he can be persuaded. He’s strong for his size, and isn’t afraid to use that in his pursuits if required.

Name: Alveth
Color: Blue
Personality: Alveth is the sort that can easily be misled. He trusts people quickly, and once that trust is gained he has no problem going out of his way to help. He won’t stomach disloyalty, either from his end or from others. He’s not perfect, but Alveth is always actively getting better. Whatever pursuit he is after, he will be a hard worker, and that can often put him on the level of those who do have natural talent after enough practice. He might never reach the levels of truly great, but his potential lies in being the best all round dragon, balancing mental and physical pursuits. He just has to take care that he doesn’t fall into the wrong crowd.

Name: Isaegoeth (ai-say-goth)
Color: Brown
About: Isaegoeth is a strong, hard working Brown if ever there was one. He is not so drawn to leisure time of his own accord, as he feels duty bound to work and work well. He views the world as full of equals who should do what they can others who cannot. While talented and skilled in his disarming and calming way of managing people, he is not the one to brag. He is a humble, honest dragon. Adult size: 33 feet

Name: Pannielth (Pan-ee-elth)
Color: Midnight
About: Armed with a dry wit and a wry sense of humor, Pannielth fits in the indirect stereotype of Midnights very well. He has a winsome demeanor that shines through best when around friends. He is extremely patient, though also struggles to be a self starter. Left to his own devices this dragon will put off things for later to focus on the latest interesting thing. He needs a bit of reminding sometimes as things often slip his mind. Adult size: 29 feet

Name: Allevith (all-lay-vith)
Color: Green
About: Allevith wants to bring joy into the world. She can stay upbeat in a tough spot and try to encourage others. Too much sadness can overwhelm her hopeful spirit. This Green wants the best for everyone and clings fiercely to the vision of an idealistic future. She is willing to work hard for her goals and will try to enlist the aid of others. Adult size: 21 feet

Name: Nibeluth (nee-bay-luth)
Color: Grey
About: Nibeluth has long scars across his face and neck from the day of his Hatching. He is quiet about them and doesn't like to bring them up, though they stand out on his grey hide. He fears judgement from those who don't know him and needs to be told that those people or dragons over there aren't looking at him funny - they probably aren't even looking at him at all. Nibeluth is uneasy about trying new things but does alright around others if they don't bring up his scars. Adult size: 19 feet

Name: Daztenth (Dah- zz -ten-th)
Color: Brown
About: Daztenth is a fan of sunbathing. During the middle of the day when the sun is high, he can't get enough. It means that getting this dragon to move during the day time is a chore, as he would rather laze about. However, when it's cloudy or at night, there is no more attentive dragon to be found. He is genuinely interested in people and their problems always happy to listen or help out. If one of his friends has an interest he doesn't understand, he will try it out or learn more about it, and if he has enough friends, will probably learn a little bit about everything.

Name: Binloth (Bin- loth)
Color: Dream (m)
About: Binloth is good friend, and a little less distracted by his imagination then some Dreams. He is a good story teller, often incorporating friends or even just people that are listening to him into his imaginary tales. He doesn't like stories with bad guys, preferring the idea of redemption of the antagonist. He is a bit skittish around real danger, unless he or his is directly threatened, in which case he mans up and protects his rider.

Name: Senphorth (Sen - for - th)
Color: Black-White (f)
About: This little girl is a big fan of the spotlight. She wants attention, and she is happy to drag her rider around to get it. She wants to be involved everywhere, which means she is helpful, but can get herself way over her head. Senphorth is surprisingly friendly toward Whers, but gets freaked out by Lifewings. It might take a little time, but she could make a great storyteller, or more likely, a valued friend.

Color: Midnight
About: Vironath is one of the stealthiest dragons you will ever meet. He is naturally quiet in demeanor and in movement, and has a really bad habit of not announcing himself when he appears. He also has good eyes and good ears, the latter being something of a mixed bag for him. He hates loud noises and can't stand music if it is out of tune, even in the slightest. This little watcher will have a hard time expressing himself, but there will be no one better to go on a nighttime adventure with.

Name: Kinnokith (Kin -no - ki -th)
Color: Blue
About: Kinnokith is kind of naive but always glad to help out. He takes things at face value, and doesn't understand sarcasm very well. However, a harder worker you could never meet. He works quickly, efficiently and well, to the best of his ability. He enjoys the simple things in life, and doesn't understand why people think life is so complicated. He will become friends with almost anyone, and even when someone does something to offend him, he calmly relates why he is put off.

Color: Blue
About: Gologeth is a blue dragon who likes to stay put. He is thoughtful, and if left to himself can sit anywhere and just think. He has a vivid imagination and has no issue sharing the wild and crazy things he has thought up. When doing work that doesn't require thought, he will daydream. His favorite thing to ask almost always begins with the words, "What if..". If people don't like his musings, he doesn't really care, after all, isn't imagination for the individual?

Color: Darkblue (m)
About: This Darkblue is quiet and only keeps his feelings to himself because he isn't very good at expressing things. He over analyzes almost everything, and it means that his own motives are up for examination as well. He finds emotional arguments to be fascinating, if ultimately not to be trusted, and only holds stock in facts and logic.

About: This is one quiet Wood dragoness. Finilith enjoys solitude, though a few well behaved flitts wouldn't disturb her any. She is attracted to things out of the ordinary which makes her something of an explorer. However it means that combined with her quiet nature she can be gone and into trouble before you turn back around. Finilith doesn't fear for herself, but takes care not to harm even the smallest of creatures.

Color: Citrine
About: Vilishanth is a silly little dragon, taking great joy in making others laugh. She doesn't like to see others frown, and will go out of her way to make a joke to change their expression. Occasionally her jokes aren't very funny, or rather they are more puns then jokes. She can get embarrassed if her jokes don't go over well, but she bounces back quickly, always willing to improve. She loves sweet things, so hers will have to take care she doesn't go for sweet treats too often.

About: Meloeteth is calmer than you would expect from a Pink dragonet. She is a music lover, and will often call out to Hers with what she calls her "Heartsong". Only Hers knows the Heartsong.

Name: Earendith (eh-ah-ren-dith)
Color: Blue
Adult size: 28.5 feet
Quick description: Earendith listens carefully to what others say, and gives them the benefit of the doubt. He is uninterested in leading, but choosy about whom he follows and once he gives his loyalty it stays given until death. Those who have his loyalty may command him to do anything and he will attempt it, trying until he succeeds. He is disinterested in the time that tasks take, measuring time�s passage only in the relative form of how much was accomplished that day.

Name: Leernoth (Leer - noth)
Color: Jungle
Adult Size: 27 feet
Dragon Info: Leernoth is a timid dragon, and it makes him nervous around new people. Once he gets to know people it is not too frightening for him. He would rather be back with his mine then out and about though. He picks up facts about people amazingly well though. Even if someone has only mentioned it once he can bring up an odd tidbit. He is brilliant at putting names to faces, but loves stories most of all. He will be drawn to harpers and storytellers without fail and be the most patient of listeners. Once the tale is done, he will point out plot holes, but it does not make him enjoy it any less. If he was more outgoing he would be great at telling stories, but sadly lacks the charisma and the courage to do so.

Name: Rocedith (Roe � seed- ith)
Color: DarkBlue (f)
Adult size: 24 feet
Dragon Personality: Rocedith is a bit of a pessimist. She is very aware of things that inconvenience her or stand in her way. It makes her very aware of problems, even those others might not notice. With a little help she could become a great problem solver, but on her own is too moody to get anything done. To hers she is an open book, and her emotions are very easy to see. Despite seeing the worst in everything she tries not to be a bother to others, even if she is in a mood. If she isn�t in the way she will just sit down and have a sulk when things get too much for her.

Name: Sigoth (Sig �oth)
Color: Grey
Adult Size: 18 feet
Dragon Info: Sigoth is like any Grey in the fact he picks up his rider�s emotions exceedingly well. Rather than picking up on negative emotions and getting depressed, they drain him, making him lethargic. He can get overwhelmed easily, often wanting to get a nap away from people and dragons to recharge. However, he can pick up the very beginnings of frustration or sadness, so that with a friendly nudge he can prevent a lot of heavy emotions from bogging a person down.

Name: Winstrath (Win - str-ath)
Color: Green
Adult Size: 20 feet
Dragon Info: Winstrath is a happy Green and very direct in her emotions. She does not understand people when they beat around the bush or hide feelings. It makes her a bit dense when it comes to emotions but it makes her a very honest dragon. When given a goal she will plow right into it, and is not a procrastinator. She loves affection, and will seem like a puppy in her first few months, following hers in hopes of getting some scratches or a rub. Even when she becomes a full grown dragoness, a friendly pat or rub will make her day. When giving affection herself, she will nudge people and try to give them rubs with her snout.

Name: Meuplunth (Mow-pelun-th)
Color: Wood
Adult Size 21 feet
Dragon Info: For a Wood, Meuplunth sure is picky. That is to say, she would much rather eat her Rider's tubers than the fish that she needs to eat. How can she expect to maintain her girlish figure and clean teeth if she were to eat unhealthy foods all the time? To live near the Jungle, for her, is to live in heaven. She loves the jungle with all of her heart and frequently in her adulthood will be adventurous enough to explore a vast amount of it - or maybe even as a youngling, stirring up some trouble! This dragonet is choosy, and can be rather blunt about appearances. She loves to offer advice on her Mine's appearance. She wants to have a weyrmate, but is convinced that only the best male will do.

Name: Gillath (Gill-lath)
Color: DarkBlue (m)
Adult size: 25 feet
Quick description: Gillath is a deep navy blue that looks almost black, but the webbing of his wings is lighter by one or two shades. He is intelligent but has trouble finding words to express himself, and he doesn't like to do anything without having time to think through it first: he doesn't want to make a mistake and mess things up. In short he's earnest and sincere, but unsure of himself.

Name Pronunciation: [All-min-nath]
Color: Black-Green
Adult Size: 25 Feet
Dragon Info: She will be large for a black, but not greatly so. Her personality is larger, though. She is as flashy as flashy can be... and not just because that's who she is, though that's part of it, but also because she knows how it embarrasses her rider. Now don't mistake this for malice. Really, she thinks that with enough exposure her rider will get used to it and may even come to like the attention it sometimes garners the two of them.

Name: Okurath (Oak - ku - wrath)
Color: Green
Adult Size: 22
Dragon Info: Okurath is a bit of a handful. She loves seeing new things and will drag people off on adventures to see everything without thinking about the time or other things she is supposed to be doing. By the time she grows up it probable that she will know every square inch of the Weyr, and will love to show people around it. She had a good sense of direction and latches on to places that she likes. When people get to know her and hers, she will often take them to places she loves as a way of showing how she thinks of them as friends. It doesn't take much to make Okurath happy, and it takes a lot to bring her down.

Hatching thread: I'm Sorry, You Did What?!?! [Whers!]

Midnight Hrrrrm Wher - 000052
Despite his dark coloring-perfect for blending into the shifting shadows of the night-it is still a wonder how something so ungainly can be so very stealthy. [NAME] is a bit aloof and isn't nearly as dependent on his handler as some Whers though that by no means translates to a lesser bond between the two. In fact, if anything he is more attentive than some Whers and certainly far more protective. Despite his seeming lack of personality, there are times when his slightly twisted sense of humor shines through; it generally involves scaring the hide off of his handler and whoever else may be around by popping up seemingly out of nowhere. He is surprisingly tolerant of firelizards so long as they don't draw too much attention to him.

Flame Urrrrrg Wher - FFA500
Though he tries hard to please his handler, this little Wher has a bit of an attention span issue. Easily distracted and a little socially awkward he tends to play a little too rough with his fellow Whers and inadvertently stirs up trouble. For the most part he seems good natured if a bit uneasy around other Whers and especially around dragons. He doesn't seem to mind firelizards in the least and in fact seems to prefer their company over other Whers and dragons. With proper training he should turn out to be a superb and slightly smarter than your average wher partner.
