Appearance: T'ka has dark brown hair that's been sun bleached into a slightly lighter, shining hue over time. His eyes are a misty, dark forest green and his exuberant expressions bring smiles throughout the Weyr. T’ka is fairly tall at 6' 1" and has a decent tan from living in the South his entire life. T’ka is usually found with a relaxed smile on his face and hope in his expression.
Personality: T'ka is generally cheerful and quite the happy man, looking for reasons to celebrate each day as it comes. He treasures life and enjoys spending time outside with his children. He loves Ayenet dearly and does his Weyr duties with a light heart. T'ka dislikes sitting at a desk and doing paperwork. He has a passion for teaching and assists the Weyrling Master on a regular basis. In his free time he hangs out with the Former and Current Bachelors of the Weyr Club.
History: Tannaka lived in a small Southern hold with his parents and twin brother Kayuki. All was normal and peaceful, except when Kayuki would find himself in trouble with his constant pranking. When Tannaka was about 13 Turns old his brother became deathly ill and the sickness succeeded in stealing away the rest of his life. The grief was unbearable for Tannaka, and he ran away into the forest to escape. He and his brother had been best friends and Tannaka felt like he really didn’t know anyone else at the hold. Out of hunger and exhaustion, Tannka wandered back into town; the day a dragon came on Search, and thus T'ka found his way to Waterfall Valley Weyr. He Impressed not long after he arrived to a Bronze dragon named Lorneth.
T'ka, a young Rider and full of an adventuresome spirit, joined the search party heading up North. He was one of the people present in the discovery of Ice Stone Weyr. Up there, he would Impress the Silver fire lizard Grace. His friend D'las would decide to stay at the icy Weyr eventually, though the two are still fast friends and see each other often.
Right before the Weyr War, T'ka found himself in love with the Weyr Harper. He didn't know how he had gone on not knowing her for so long. He was challenged in his love for her by another Rider, though whether his dragon was Bronze or Brown, T'ka does not remember. The two flew as suitors after the Pink Quenith, T'ka's Lorneth being the victor. The match between them seemed near perfect, and the two Riders got on very well as weyrmates and best friends.
In the Weyr War Quenith and Ayenet became severely injured, the Pink dragoness dropping from the sky. They almost lost them then, and the strain on the poor hearts of Rider and dragon was nearly more than they could take. Memories of the War still bother T'ka to this day, though he mostly doesn't think about them. It has caused him to be slightly more protective of his weyrmate, whose health slowly climbed back up again.
Later he would become a father of twins. The shock was extreme, having been a twin himself. In memory of his brother, the male twin was bestowed with the name Kayuki. His sister was named Akail.

T'ka now resides at Waterfall Valley Weyr with his family. He enjoys the warm weather and the place that looks like home.

Dragon's Appearance: Lorneth was one of the larger Bronzes measuring in at 41 feet. He claims he's shrunk since then but he won't allow anyone to measure him. His hide is tinged with the grey of old age.
Dragon's History: Lorneth was Impressed to T'ka at Waterfall Valley Weyr, the place where much of Rainbow Mists Weyr's population came from. His parents, Gold Hartealith and Bronze Threnth, were Jr. Weyrleaders during Sakura and Gold Tarneth's youth. All of his parents and quite a few of his siblings have since passed on. He enjoys his elder days in the Weyr of his birth.
