Update ze Advert & Other Projects

Heyo folks! So with Archith's Flight we have a Hatching coming up! It didn't turn out to be Christmas babies this year, so perhaps next year, but we have some midwinter dragon babies and they're going to be fun. Promises!

With that in mind we'll be needing some Candidates. And I'm happy to work with whatever non-zero number we acquire xD but if you're like me, it'd be nice to have a few new friends to write with. And that means we need to update our advert a little.

So, text, images, even suggestions. Post 'em here and you'll get some extra marks for helping out. Yes yes.

I can get some of this done, yes but I'd love a bit of help. I got some other projects in mind too, but we'll start with this. (In the future I'd love to tweak our layout a little, make it look new for the new year; and keep working on updating our dragon bios. Before she took a leave for school and work, Nicole was helping me work on them but there are still more.)

(I'll also post the advertisement on my tumblr blog from time to time, because I know there's a fairly good-sized Pern fandom there.)

Oh! And for the record, I can help out with any dragon color bios! If you still need someone to help out with that task, that is. I've got lots of free time right now.

Ad updating...

Well, I'm not sure how to do it (without software that I currently don't have access to), but the image that says "nearly nine years of role-playing" could be changed to say "over a decade of role-playing"

Remove the line about the fires, replace it with a note on upcoming hatching. Maybe something like: "Bring out your favorite candidates, Queen Archith's third clutch is waiting"

In the "what we offer" section, change "over nine years..." to "over ten years..." or "more than a decade..."

Moo, do you still have Muse for Sharra? Kh'sol's frenemy girl? Or are we thinking a new angle on exciting? *curious*

And some color bio help would be fantastic! I think the last of Nicole's edits are on my old laptop downstairs. I can grab it though. I'll need it for banner/graphics updating as well since it's got my art program on it (I'm still mourning the death of my Graphire4 tablet t-t, I can do banners with a mouse).

Well, looking at it, most of the "recent happenings" section is pretty old... the two parts (ISW and RMW) could probably be combined in some fashion, so that the section simply provides a feel for the kind of plots we have...

I'll keep thinking over it, see what I can come up with for possible text

If you're wanting to do recent updates, the Recent Happenings page (I think that's what it's called) could really use some attention too

Both B'telli and M'lak and their dragons are dead. The northerners know B'telli is dead. Others in the raiding party that escaped reported it. And the Telgaran Weyrwoman has been in fits over it.

You know, I haven't thought about her in forever! If you'd like for her to come back, I'd be more than delighted to do so! Let me revisit that old thread and see what I wrote about her, and then I'll get the ball rolling in the morning.

And yeah, send the edits on over! I'll do my very best to keep up the standard she set for the color bios.
