Cyan stared at the parchment in front of her, only distantly aware of Breaker and Dawn watching her. Zigbrieth had long been decided that he was not to be involved in the potentially emotionally devastating letter his rider was attempting. He was a touch blunt, and that was putting things mildly. However, he hadn’t said a word regarding what she should be doing at any given time for the past couple days, and that was a glorious gesture of support if Cyan had ever seen one. So she wasn’t entirely alone on this.
That didn’t make words any easier to compile.
She had said that she needed to find the right words. But she didn’t know if she could actually reach a conclusion regarding Kel. She didn’t approve of what he had done, she didn’t even know if she could forgive it. That said, she didn’t know if she could just call off their friendship because of it. He was wild at times, but they had fun together, just singing and stuff. Even if she didn’t’ see him again or he kept being locked away, or whatever she wanted him to be happy. When she had first met him his smiles had all seemed a little forced. It was kinda sad.
Everyone expected this to break their friendship. If it didn’t she would get looks. Cyan cared deeply about what other people thought of her. She would hate it if everyone else hated her. But she was pulled back and forth across an invisible line as she debated to herself what to do. It just hurt, it really did.
