Mithra Weyr is a 10th Pass AU Pern Universe where AIVAS failed to rid Pern of thread. Instead, it irradiated the creatures of the planet, causing differences in Whers and new colors throughout all of dragonkin on Pern.
Fort and Benden have completely pushed away all mutations, and a new Weyr was built in order to house all the outcast dragonriders and wherhandlers. Mithra Weyr was founded some seventeen Turns ago, giving refuge to all those not only of mutation colors but standard colors alike. Golds have become even more rare since the mutations began, and Thread is still a very real threat, looming on the horizon.
