Today, as many days were, was a beautiful and warm day. T’lok found himself outside in the Weyrbowl, simply enjoying the afternoon with his beloved White beauty. Reclining against her smooth glistening belly, T’lok allowed himself to doze off in the afternoon sun. Lizeth crooned softly to herself as her lifemate slept on. She enjoyed how the warmth of the sun seeped into her form. T’lok was all but dead to the world, his hat laying low over his face. He looked simply the picture of ease and comfort. It was here that he had found his calling, his purpose, and his closest companion. There could never be a better peace than he was feeling in his heart right at this moment.
And yet it seemed that peace was not to last. The only thing to warn of anything breaking such serenity was a soft pair of pops as two tiny troublemakers made their appearance. Appearing just at the right height, two very lovely colored firelizards snagged either side of T’lok’s shielding, wide brimmed hat, only to yank it off his head and with a shrill trill, fly straight up with such speed that one might be assured that this maneuver was purposeful. The two then engaged in a playful flight around the area holding onto their bonded’s hat. Yet not everyone was as happy with this antic as the two Firelizards found themselves. T’lok would suddenly surge up to his feet with a snarl. “Shard it all! Lizeth would ye control those two loathsome beasts?!” He glared up as he sought out his brilliantly colored beauties as they found sport with his hat. “Yeh get back here the both of yeh ‘er they’ll be no meatrolls for either of yeh, and don’t think Ah won’t carry through!”
He carried on like this for a couple minutes before Lizeth stretched, chuckling softly in his mind. Now now mine… It’s only a bit of fun… And might I remind you, they’re yours… Not mine. T’lok growled, clearly not appreciating the humor in the situation. “Nubiah! Zalazah! Get yer sharding tails down here right now!” The two little flitters twittered joyously before flying down, depositing their plaything back on their beloved’s head before taking up perches. The little Cloud, Nubiah lit to take her perch upon the brim of his hat, and Zalazah cuddled gently against his neck, crooning softly to him. He huffed and sighed lightly looking up with exasperation to his beloved Lizeth. “What’re we going teh do with ‘em…” You know you adore them… He rolled his eyes and flopped back down upon the grass, unseating them as they cried out indignantly before engaging in aerial play once more, this time without his hat. What a day…
