Darkness.
At the edges of the darkness humans started to move. A throng, moving toward him. Dragons swooped, like little ephemeral ghosts. Here one moment and gone the next. The humans moved closer, a dull roar of murmuring. It wasn’t bad, just a bit unnerving. But it kept building.
More and more people, more and more noise, always getting closer. More swooping dragons, so quick to vanish but so many so as to create a flurry of movement. It was getting crowded. Claustrophobic, almost.
Suddenly a human form took shape, so ill-defined so it was impossible to see anything other than its arms were outstretched. But it screamed. Primal rage unfurled and started to choke. Another human form, and frustration blanketed him. A dragon form this time, drowning him in fury. Something pushed him just too far down.
He rebounded, wanting to put it all back at them. TAKE ALL THESE FEELINGS BACK!
“..eth..” Another form, but this one was a perfect silhouette. It reached out.
LEAVE ME ALONE!
“DELGETH!”
Delgeth’s eyes snapped open and his claws dug as far as they could into stone. He hissed, the mood of his dream still a very real oppressive force. A hand was on his side and a bright point of love pressed into his mind. He pushed all the other feelings far away, greedy for the love and growing affection.
[smear:c82009]Mine.[/smear:ffffff]
You were starting to make noise. Delgeth turned, resting his head down to face F’mil.
[smear:c82009]Telgar’s not being very kind today.[/smear:ffffff]F’mil gave Delgeth a pat and the dragon started to relax. He didn’t even notice that his tail had been moving fast, but it slowed. [smear:c82009]Feels like there are some very angry people out today.[/smear:ffffff]
F’mil looked sympathetic, but just tried to get his dragon back to a relaxed keel. Neither of them attempted to figure out what this all meant. It was a normal bad day for them.
