“Sorry kid, but even if it’s hard to talk, I need you to.” The Healer urged before continuing on “Where did you hit the wall? It helps if you can point to the area.”. Rythal obliged, using his free arm to rub along his left-side where he had felt he’d impacted. He seemed to examine him methodically before scowling.
Was there more to his injuries than the Rider had seen?
The scowl then transformed into an aggravated sigh, that caused Rythal’s heart to thump furiously once more - the colour draining from his face. When the healer spoke Ry had anticipated the worst. “If you want a professional opinion, you should be on bedrest after this. Or rather right now.” he said gruffly, which wasn’t the worst news all things considering, his imagination had provided far worse imagery.
The healer then leant backwards. “But I can’t move you until I make sure I can.” He added on to which Rythal could only nod; albeit briefly and painfully. It was then that something bewildering happened as a low song like sound resonated and shortly after the man himself seemed to hum a similar tune as well. It was confusion but Ry presumed it must have heard some other function - unless it was a deathsong, a part of his mind offered. The song or rather tone didn’t last long and when it ended the Healer released a second sigh, albeit one far less stressed.
“Good news you’ll live.” The healer informed and Ry gave another nod in response. Concerns lifted the movements of Dragonets once again took his fancy as he seemed to drift into an almost hypnotic observation of them. A Dragonet - one who’s color pattern he knew to be a cloud - moved up towards its Rider. A ruckus to another section of the arena brought the visage of a black clawing at the stands, clearing having found something of interest.
”Was all worth it, to see dis.” He murmured quietly to himself before looking at the Healer. ”Can you please stop them from asking me important questions for a bit? Dun wanna wake up and find I’ve signed up for Candidacy again.”
