Name: Se'kt Dramor
Pronunciation: Seh-Ket Dray-More
Gender: Male
Age: 34
Turnday: 7th Day of the 9th Month, Turn 3044
Weyr: Ice Stone Weyr
Rank: Dragon Rider
Family:
Mother: Sahkti Avel (Harper)
Father: Terian Dramor (Tanner)
Brother: S'ren of Moonlight Onsiliath (Deceased)
Weyrmate: None yet, any that stuck around for a bit?
Friends: None yet, could use a few
Pets: None
Appearance: Se'kt's skin is a shade paler than most, though he does not have a sickly appearance. His hair is dark brown and kept cropped short and neatly. His eyes are a light, stormy grey color and often ringed with tired, darker skin. He is tall; 6"0 and wiry. Her prefers to wear darker wherhide clothing; browns, blues and sometimes reds.
Personality: Se'kt is quiet and prefers not to speak when possible as he feels too much time is wasted on idle banter. He is outwardly calm and collected and often perceived as being bad tempered. Se'kt can be close minded and mistrustful of outsiders, preferring to keep Ice Stone isolated from other "meddling Weyrs". He seems to harbor a more personal dislike for Benden Weyrfolk, often heard referring to them as "Benden Buggers".
History: as a young child Se'kt began to learn the Tanning Craft from his father. Though he loved his Harper mother he pretended to care little for her songs and stories, instead applying himself to what his father constantly told him was a "useful trade", leaving his brother to listen to the wild stories of Dragonrider's deeds. Se'kt never admitted it to anyone, but he thought his brother would be Searched instead of himself and this made him very jealous of his brother. Though young Se'kt claimed to want to be a Tanner he secretly wished to be a Dragonrider.
When Se'kt turned 14 a pair of Dragonriders arrived at Icy Caverns on Search. Both Se'kt and S'ren were taken back to Ice Stone Weyr. Se'kt was over joyed to have been chosen, but this led to some mild ribbing from his brother who often asked him "so if a Dragon chooses you, will you teach him Tanning?" Se'kt ignored these taunts with good grace, allowing his brother his moment of glory. The truth was, Se'kt had begun to thaw out and he studiously applied himself to any education or chores he was assigned. When the next Hatching occurred, S'ren Impressed to a Moonlight Dragonet and Se'kt to an Ice King. Though as both boys matured, Se'kt began to realize that Weyr life was much harder than the stories would have you believe.
He would hear news of the Northern Weyrs; how they raised their Weyrlings and what they considered to be just and true practice. It was easy for them to make the rules, but Ice Stone sure as Shells didn't have to follow them! In Se'kt's view, Ice Stone had done everything it's own way for all these Turns and they still prospered, so why did the North, in particular Benden, have to try and interfere? As S'ren adapted to his role with ease, Se'kt became ill-at-ease with the political climate. This began to create a rift between the brothers as S'ren would listen to songs and stories of the brave Riders of Rainbow Mists, Benden or Fort Weyr and would assure his younger brother that one day he'd fly with those brave men and women, should any crisis occur that required him.
So eager was S'ren to prove himself as more than adept at Thread burning that he tried to push himself to hard and too fast during his later Weyrling training. He tried to achieve aerial feats that should have taken Turns to master with practice and it ended in tragedy when both he and his Dragon perished; dashed to death against a mountain the Dragon didn't have the agility to manoeuvre away from. After his brother's untimely death, Se'kt grew to hate those wild stories he had loved so much, viewing fanciful tales as some kind of unhealthy tripe that only filled up youngsters minds "that couldn't be filled with logic". Se'kt became an outspoken advocate for keeping Ice Stone business to itself, "where it belongs".
When the War started, he was all about staying out of the fight. But views changed as he heard that a few friends and his current weyrmate interest at the time fought in the war and all four were killed. He was furious, and he joined in the fight. Helping out in protecting not only his comrades from Ice Stone, but those from Rainbow Mists. He misses his friends and has now begun to open up a little more when he's around his close friends.

Roleplay Sample:
Se'kt sighed and seemed to glare out at nothing. Though there really was nothing outside his weyr. There could be heard the wind as it howled passed the opening. Only whisps of the wind made it into the warmth of the weyr that surrounded Rider and Dragon, so much so that the brisk whisps of the wind died quick deaths before it could touch thier skin or hide.
Mine, Temperanth's eggs hatch! We must go and attend.
Se'kt didn't feel like going and doing anything, but Hatchings were a good thing for any Weyr. And it was always a good excuse to celebrate. Alright, Epsilith, lets go and watch.
The pair left their weyr and headed for the Hatching sands. Epsilith found a place to let his off and then launched up to find a ledge to watch the Hatching.
