Appearance: Ayasha, like just about everyone born in the extreme north, has light hair and eyes. In her case, this means blond hair and green eyes. Her cheekbones are high-set, but not particularly prominent in her almost oval face. Her nose is dished and her skin is particularly pale, such that if she spent time outside in any kind of intense sun she would burn badly within moments. She doesn't think of herself as pretty, being rather on the tall side at almost 5'8" and having broad shoulders that , coupled with her muscular, un-curvy frame, can trick people into thinking that she's a boy, especially considering that she prefers to wear boy's clothing, as it's easier to work in.
Personality: In addition to being almost infectiously friendly, Ayasha has a slightly quirky sense of humor that can sometimes cause misunderstandings — she thinks she’s joking, and the other person takes it seriously. She’s an extremely sensitive individual, and has trouble sometimes remembering not to take things personally, thus the misunderstood jokes often cause her to mask her pain at not being understood by retreating a little. However, if she’s physically present in the same room as someone, she has enough experience to know when jokes would be inappropriate. Ayasha’s sensitive nature can sometimes make her hot-headed, especially if someone acts in a way that she perceives as threatening to one of her patients.
History: Ayasha was born in Icy Caverns Hold to a mother who trained sled canines and a father who was a master healer — needless to say, she takes after her father, though he credits her people skills to her mother, who then laughs and says it’s embarrassing that a healer like her husband doesn’t get along well with people (this an example of the humor that Ayasha grew up with and considers normal). Ayasha’s parents traveled quite often, her mother handling the canines to take her father out to smaller holds where either someone had been injured badly enough or was sick enough to require a master healer, or a journeyman/journeywoman was stationed and needed some amount of further training.
When Ayasha was ten, her mother was injured in a sledding accident while out training canines about a day from the Hold. By the time the canines dragged the sled back in, Neemora still strapped to it by one arm, she was nearly dead. Though Neemora recovered, she never regained complete use of her left leg, which had been broken in multiple places. Not long after that, Ayasha and her parents moved to Ice Stone Weyr, where her mother wasn’t continuously reminded of what she was no longer considered capable of doing — though both Ayasha and her father consider her mother perfectly capable in all respects. From that day forwards, Ayasha has lived at Ice Stone Weyr. She always wanted to be a healer, like her father, and secretly longed to Link to a Lifewing.
Finally, about midway through Tern 3075, Ayasha was able to attend a Lifewing Hatching at Rainbow Mists. She Linked to Revallesh at the end of the Hatching.
