Personality: Kyuuki generally likes to keep inside if she has the choice, and will keep covered up if she ever goes out. She can take a lot of pain, but is usually too nervous to step into any sort of fray and does not put herself out there. With people to help her she can come out of her shell, but it takes time. She has a tendency to bet herself up and always strives to do better. She picks things up quickly, and loves to learn. She often takes criticism a little too seriously. With Vallesh around she gets more energy and takes a few more risks, but she likes to play it very safe.

She has found comfort in being a lifewing rider, happy to help without fighting. She is confident in healing, and had grown to love her snowy home.
Appearance: Kyuuki is tall and lanky, but often observes the ground as she walking, making her seem smaller. Her skin is very pale and burns extremely easy. Her hair is white-blond and very straight, which looks blonder or whiter depending on the light. She has bangs that are not the same length as the rest of her hair, which is cut above her shoulders. Her bangs are around her eye level, and get in her way unless she pins it back. Her eyebrows and eyelashes are the same white-blond, so they blend in if her bangs are not pinned back. Her eyes are a gray with a hint of blue that comes out when she wears cool colors. She often squints when she has to read something, indicating a subtle sight issue.

Over the years her hair has been leeched of all of its blond coloring and her pale skin shows her age through wrinkles. She looks taller now because she actually stands up straight, rather then looking at the ground all of the time.
History: Kyuuki was born to a loving family, but tended to keep to herself. Her appearance freaked a few of the other kids her age out, so she got used to being alone. Her parents died in an accident handling runners, when one of the wilder ones broke loose. She stayed with an Uncle during this time, who was not very close to her or her family for some time. When the search rider came around she took the chance to go, bidding her uncle a polite farewell. She was searched for Rainbow Mists Weyr and got off to a great start when there was a gather nearby. She bought a firelizard egg, pleased for something to do other then wait around for a clutch. She stood for a clutch at Rainbow Mists, but was passed over. This was okay for her, since she could go up to Ice Stone Weyr on an exhibition. There she was linked to the lifewing Vallesh, her new best friend. Lantern, her firelizard was soon brought up to ISW and now she is hard at work studying healing herbs.

Kyuuki found her new role as a lifewing rider to be exactly what she needed. She found more confidence and enjoyed working to make people better. As a Lifewing rider in teh north she found that there were actually quite a few dragons so Vallesh's abilities came in handy. Expirence has taught her that the people in the icy Weyr are nice folk, so she has come out of her shell considerably. There is still no place she would rather be then with Lantern and Vallesh.

Oddly enough this Lifewing has a fascination with dragons, whers, firelizards, and just about any other creature that flies. She has a sort of mothering relationship to Lantern, but is not afraid to pick on the flitter when he is being a bother. She pushes Kyuuki to try new things, but most often is very supportive.

Her feet and beak are both entirely black, her large beak coming right up to where her eyes are. Her call is a loud honk, which is different from her song.
