So guys, I know a lot of RP boards and Weyrs have chat boxes these days. I've seen them do both good (lots of active chatting, like they were meant for) and bad (people stopped posting the forum mostly because they could just c-box it).

I've noticed that sites with cboxes tend to be more friendly and open. They also make it quick and easy to ask questions and get the answers. It makes for easy ways to discuss personal plots or let others know that its their turn for a post. With most sites a cbox is among the first things I look for.. It's also a good way to gauge how active a site really is. Since messages are time stamped, if people were just talking today obviously people are still around even if the last post was last week.

I love chat boxes, it would make a place for OOC at any time and not only that but I can actually talk to you guys and set up RPs and stuff if you're on at the same time.
Good idea is good!
