Name: Madison Orlin
Pronunciation: Mah-dih-sun Or-lin (kinda self explanatory hah)
Gender: Female
Age: 17 Turns
Turnday: November 18
Weyr: Rainbow Mists Weyr
Rank: Apprentice Smith (Candidate)
Family: Madelynn (mother), Carson (father), Carelynn (sister), Mason (brother), Conis (brother)
Friends: erm...
Pets: none, at the moment
Appearance:
Due to her many turns as an apprentice smith, Madison has a taut, wiry body that lies between a pleasant range of toned and muscular. Thus, one can see the outline of muscle on her arms, legs, and stomach, but they are not bulging enough to draw much attention. This woman stands at a surprisingly short stature of 5"3, and unfortunately with this combination of slight frame she does not present a very intimidating figure. Straight brown hair falls without much excitement to her shoulder blades, although her bangs are trimmed to frame her tanned, oval shaped face. Within this face are a pair of light blue eyes, complete with rosebud lips and a bold, hawk-like nose. Her eyebrows are mildly bushy though not overwhelmingly so, and her chin is subtle and meek.
Personality:
The first thing that people will notice upon meeting Madison is how painfully shy she is. In fact, her timid nature has turned into a type of social phobia that renders her absolutely speechless and immobile in most social situations. In most instances, Madison will stutter and trip over her words in an attempt to speak. If any questions are asked about herself she usually deflects onto another topic. Yet despite these social fears, once she does open up to others she is a kind-hearted, well-meaning girl who just doesn't know how to say what she's trying to say. She also has a problem expressing her true feelings, and will usually suggest that "one" might be feeling this, when in fact that "one" is her and she just doesn't want to be direct.
Also, Madison will never stand up for herself, and usually just backs off or gets quiet if anyone challenges her. The only time that Madison will ever stand up to someone is if they are bullying someone else, and even then she will probably just step in to give them a different target.
However, Madison has a very strong sense of commitment and dedication, so once she says she's going to do something, she does it. Somehow this manages to override her social anxiety, so that she can perform functions (such as smith crafting) without stuttering, and without giving any outward signs of being anxious. It's almost as if she steps into the role, as in a play, and adopts the characteristics she needs in that situation to succeed; whether that be stern, patient, kind, sympathetic, whatever the case may be. But Madison is very dedicated to getting the job done right, and gets flustered or frustrated very easily if anyone tries to interfere with her getting her job done. This means that she is slow and patient. She also has to be on time for everything that she does, and gets anxious if she's late.
History:
Madison was born in High Reaches Hold to a Harper mother and a Masterblacksmith father. She was the third born of the group, and since there was only three years between herself and her older brother they became close. In her young years of life, Madison was a very quiet girl who very rarely, if ever, spoke; in fact, she didn't actually start speaking until she was two turns old. At first Carson was worried there was something developmentally wrong with his little girl, but Madelynn insisted that she was just a late bloomer, and would be fine. And bloom she did. Although Madison never took an interest in the opposite sex, or even for friends of her own sex for that matter, once she came of age around 14 turns or so she developed a willowy figure with ample yet not overwhelming curves, and immediately drew attention. This attention unsettled her, so she spent most of her time in the Smith hall where she learned lessons from her father and fiddled with machinery. Also, since her mother was a harper, a love of music had been instilled in her since birth and she enjoyed listening, though she couldn't sing or play an instrument for the life of her.
In fact, due to Madison's simple yet natural beauty, Madelynn received many marriage proposals for the young girl, but refused all of them. Coming from a working family herself, Madelynn was determined that Madison would learn a trade before she married. It seemed she was destined for the Smithcraft hall, since she had an aptitude for knowing when a metal was hot enough to be bent, or the way that different metals pieces needed to be fit together to function properly. In essence, she possessed the spatial brain necessary for such problems. Almost two turns after she had become an Apprentice, a dragon came on search from High Reaches Weyr and, shock of all shocks, chose Madison on Search. However, since High Reaches Weyr did not currently have any clutches, they sent her to Rainbow Mists Weyr upon request to attend a recent Hatching there.
Adoption?: Nope
Dragon Preferences:
Honestly, I'm so delighted and overwhelmed by all of the non-canon colors that I have no idea XD whoever you think would be best-suited for her
