Plotlet-Hold rumors

So I'm not grat at organizing these things but let's see if I can't make this at least understandable.

So, got a little plotlet thing that I hope you all would be interested in. The thing is it would be involving the the areas around RMW, not RMW itself (as much). So I wanted to see if anyone was going to be making a candidate soonish that they wanted to have start at a hold or were interested in having a Holdfolk character involved in a plot.

Oh, and the genral idea would be that someone is spreading around rumors that a former DMW member(or members) has been hanging around and is plotting something.

So, comments or questions are welcome here.

Ooh, will DMW make a return appearance? I missed them the first time 'round.

You know, I could always get N'kio involved. He wouldn't start the rumor, but as he lives at Cliffside, I'm sure the ports there would be a good place for news of a rumor to spread. He could hear about it one of these days and pass on the news.

Not really? The rumor would only deal with a former member, and its not like they are claiming DMW is gonna rise again. Although maybe some of the more paranoid people would be thinking it.

Oh yes, that would be lovely. Need lots of people to play telephone tag so to speak.

If it were a former DMW member, likely he/she'd be ollld and wouldn't do much themselves but maybe incite a riot or something disruptive to RMW like that. Rogue riders! xD

Also I'll totally make a Holdfolk char any day if you need people. I like non-rider chars in recent years cuz the whole rider thing got old for me awhile back, save for certain ones *points at Tigers/Dreams/Moonlights* >____> Best colors evar.

But I actually wouldn't mind having maybe a runnin' messenger or a herder or something, something I've never done before ya know. I actually really like the Runners. They is kewl people. They're like my dolphineers~

So perhaps this general chaos should be running into the rumors? DMW member is raising all sort of plans to undermine RMW or something?

Kokoro would be open, but she doesn't react to danger as much as others would. She's... Actually hoping to be Impressed to a Silver, so I'm not sure how well she'd fit into that.

Well I want people that would either spread around the rumors, have some brillant reaction (in whatever capacity that would be) or people that want to try to investigate them or inspire other to investigate. If Kokoro would do any of those things, then that would be great.

My new charrie Tera would spread the rumor. Unintentionally, but still. Though, she's a fluke in the Weyrling world.

And it doesn't have to be a DMW member that's actually causing ruckus; it could be a grand-daughter or grandson in reality. We don't know.

I'm not helpful, but if Evaine hears she'll pass it on, probably, just for something to talk about.

I feel like I should just direct your characters to speculate, like an evil version of telephone where everyone has just kinda given up on getting the right message through. -cackles-

Actually jumping onto the thing about it being a grandkid, they could be have been children raised by families that had ties to DMW. So in other words, they are raised secretly with the same beliefs and want to start it again but under a slightly knew mission and/or plan.

This actually sounds fun to be something real, not just a rumor, but maybe it's just a small group that causes problems like raids caravans and tries to spread stories and gain members?

If you want something to go along with the "rumor," Kokoro can be captured by some of the former DMW riders, or something.

I'd like to get Talira involved, or maybe even K'tar (since he would have heard all about the War and how much damage it did). Is it ok to have them just start speculating, or should I RP them first hearing the rumor? Or does it matter?

Maybe we should all draw up quick bios for the not-yet-bio'd Lord Holders and have them discuss the "unsettling rumors"?

@lark: Fun ideas, speculation in that way would be welcome. I am starting to expect that this little rumor might snowball here...

@summer: Hmm, I am glad for your volunteering, but I think maybe I need to wait and see where this plot goes first. IT is rather up in the air for the time being.
