Gender: Female
Age: 21
Turnday: 54.12.17

Friends: no one of note
Pets: Falvor, the shoulder-bird. A mighty eyass hawk (imprinted hawk) that's trained to hunt and deliver messages. He's about four years old and bites, so it's not advised that he be handled without the proper training and equipment. He's kept in the Weyr Aviary, and is otherwise unremarkable. What is remarkable is Richet's skill when it comes to training him; eyass hawks aren't always responsive, but Falvor has yet to revolt against Richet's control. She's got her family's gift, after all.

Appearance:
Richet isn't very mentionable; her hair is dark, thick, and waist-length, framing a tiny face and build. She looks a lot younger than she really is, and it doesn't really work in her advantage; people think she's more early teens than twenties, simply because she's short and skinny and has a habit of slouching over and not listening. Her voice is largely unremarkable, with a sort of nasally grind that can easily get on nerves. Her eyes are hazel-brown, and her skin is deep tan, from both the outdoors and her natural skin-tone being an olive-brown shade. She stands at 5'1", shorter than average.
Tl;dr Personality:
Smug and arrogant, but actually really flighty and not nearly as badass and edgy as she pretends to be. Panics easily. Sells herself for a high dollar super spy but is actually of a generic storm trooper.
Personality:
History:One thing to note about Richet is that one can know Richet for quite some time and still know next to nothing about her. She's secretive and surprising, and excellent at turning conversations over to others. She comes across as a great listener, mostly because she is a great listener. If someone tells Richet something, she's likely to remember it; she hears every word, hanging off of the information other people give. That being said, it's best to not trust Richet, despite the trustworthy air she gives off. That smile on her slender face hides a self-serving, ambitious woman who hides behind false sincerity.Richet does not seek power; power is dangerous, and cannot be held without watching one's back. It's more gainful to gain influence in the books of those with power, since having people owe her favors can get her out of anything. Her work with the Syndicate isn't anything but personal gain, and she'd soon as bail if things started to turn south.Do not trust Richet-- if she's pushed against a corner, she'll backstab the first person to get herself out. Since she hasn't quite been cornered yet, this might be a panicky move that won't quite be as coordinated; Richet's still coasting off of her current spy status and soaking in the confidence that comes with it.In the rare event that Richet were to care about someone, she might not be so willing to admit it. For instance, Falvor is the most important thing in the world to her. She truly has a gift for birdcrafting, especially given the amount of dedication an imprinted hawk takes to raise. But she acts as if birdcrafting isn't something she's serious about, since if she loves something, it can be taken away. And Richet's not really interested in losing.
Richet was born into the Falkincall family, one named for their generations-long craft of training hunting birds. They call the Dragon Ridge Hold their home, building an aviary of beautiful hawks and falcons. Richet was the second child to live past infancy, and when she was tall enough to walk, she trailed after her father and began learning the craft of the aviary.Though she wasn't allowed to handle the birds until she was ten, when she was much earlier she began to learn the terminology and the basics. The first time she ever got to fly a hawk was shortly after her tenth Turnday, where she got to handle one of her father's oldest and best-trained birds. It bit her, giving her a deep scar on the hand where she thought she could pet the hawk. She's since learned to not doubt the power of a raptor's beak. Most of her time was then spent learning her own hawk-training, though most of the hawks she trained would not be a personal pet. It wasn't until she turned eighteen when she was allowed to take one of the nestlings and train it up to be her own personal bird. The task was a long, arduous one that lasted three months of constant feeding and watching; raising an eyass hawk was not simple and required a fair amount of training to make sure that Falvor didn't grow to be disrespectful of humans. But through sheer force of will and dedication, she made sure that the hawk did not go hungry and did not leave her presence for an instant. It took away her social life and sleep, but she still remembers the first time Falvor took wing for the first time.Still, despite her love and dedication for birdcrafting, she found something missing. Though the aviary was getting more business due to the LifeWings, shoulder-birds were still a heavy commitment and whatever profit was being turned was often being returned by broken spirits who didn't understand the amount of work and dedication a single bird takes.Richet found herself torn between a love for her craft and a desire for more profit. About a turn ago, her opportunity hit. There were murmurs in the Hold, people searching for trained birds and experienced bird-handlers. Richet nosed in on the situation and found herself staring down at Pern's biggest organized crime ring in the history of the colony, and there was plenty of profit to take.Richet planned to use her profits to make sure that her family's aviary would be great. But the work required a bit of a sacrifice, one she was only slightly willing to make due to the potential for her own gain. The syndicate arranged for Richet to be Searched as an official Candidate and placed within the Weyr as a spy and information-gatherer. Her talent with Falvor would be useful, and using him to send messages to the Holds would be seen as just communication with family and friends. With some reluctance, Richet agreed. The Weyr is not her home, but she'll make due. And after being there for some time, Richet's starting to get used to the surroundings and learn the ways of the dragonmen.Despite it all, she still misses home, though her ambition may make it impossible to return...

Dragon Preferences:
Preferred Colors | anything but queen | color is not nearly as important to me as personality. exception: queens. unless we're killing richet off before the queen matures, I really do not want a queen right now hahahahahaaaa. |
Cross Impression? | No preference | n/a |
Preferred Type(s) of Dragon/Rider Pair | something interesting | n/a |
Preferred Personality Traits | n/a | one that's different from her could be neat, but one that enables her could also be neat. in general i'm really all about "neat" when it comes to dragons, like in terms of personality and how they work. tbh i'd work with whatever is given, since i think Richet on just about any kind of dragon would be neat. |
Mauling | Yes | non-lethal for now |
